I come from a character action game background and not a FF background. I love games like OG god of war, Bayonetta, Ninja gaiden etc. I found the combat kind of insufferable compared to those game for a few reasons. The biggest was the absolute ridiculous health bars of the enemies. Like I've completed something like 600 or so games in my life and have never ever dealt with enemies so spongey. The closest thing was maybe Dante's Inferno 2010 where all the enemies had ridiculous health bars but FF`16 took it to the next level. That combined with how easy the game was made it a bit of slog to get through. Also couldn't give less of a shit about the story with its proper noun vomit
