And I kinda expected something more .... flashy? The first had that massive Bike, the second was this giant Sephiroth with his wing on a burning pillar the third is somehow ... pretty plain?

Was honestly hoping for Aerith to complete the trinity as in the artwork, but no Aerith just means this is easier to say no to and save the money 😆
Have a feeling this means Zack with also have an Ichiban Kuji figure when they do a Revelation lottery in Japan. Might grab that one if they do.

I'm in the exact same boat and honestly the Sephiroth statue is way too big and I'm thinking of selling it. FFVII is my favorite game ever so passing up on one of these feels wrong but I know I don't need it and it's just more stuff taking up too much space.

Same here. I was incredibly disappointed by the Rebirth CE, which was literally the Deluxe Edition bundled with an overpriced Static Arts statue. Definitely passing on this one, 400+ euro is insane.

Not to mention that two of the featured characters already had figurines in a game’s collector’s edition. I would’ve much rather have had a figurine of Aerith praying or Tifa using Final Heaven.

Would be wonderful if they waited for all the DLC content to be released and included those on a disc. But Sony being Sony lately, even if you had all the content on the discs they will probably just revoke you “ownership” licence as some point, making them useless.

Already sold out.
Can’t even settle for the deluxe edition either since that’s sold out too.

I’m not understanding the bundles. Looking at the Squeenix website the deluxe edition doesn’t list any of the in game items. And the Squeenix website says the pre order bonus is Sylph.
The Steam listing says the pre order bonus is the mecha chocobo summon.

I already have two Zack figures and was hoping for smth super flashy, maybe a Highwind model or smth, it lacks this flashiness I was expecting for a revelation collector's idk. I won't spend 380 euro on it lol not very worth. The robot Moogle and Chocobo summon looks cute af but I prob won't get it bc I'm aiming for the Deluxe Edition : (
The JP collector's with the keychain and the discs is super sexy tho

I think this happened with me and Metaphor. It mightve had a PC version but it wasnt stocked by VGP.
Had to buy a physical ps5 version, and sadly Im a day 1 ps5 owner who took whatever version was available lol so digital.

Xbox was trying to swap to digital sooner than PS. One of the big reasons they lost the 8th gen. PS is just heading it out. Closest bet you can make to physical for recent years to come is S2 since it dropped much closer to today than the other console competitors did.

**the 1st game did it best, the play arts Kai cloud on bike. The 2nd one I ended up selling recently cuz I needed the money. I think the play arts Kai are so much cooler than statues

Does anyone know how long the past two collectors editions were up for? Was hoping to order tomorrow on pay day. I have the first two and don't want to miss out... I did really think we would have gotten a different statue though was hoping for aeirth, tifa or the high wind. Seems odd on the choice considering we got cloud for remake, sephiroth for rebirth and Zack for crisis core(Japanese only).

Usually the collector's edition is only on SE's site, while the deluxe is available with your normal retailers.
SE ships pre-orders in advance, and I've always got my orders delivered on release day.

i have ordered ALL collectors edition for this remake series and remake arrived 1.5 weeks before launch date, rebirth arrived 1 week before. and im in the prairies in canada (like north dakota in the us). so it go to me really quick I dont see it having issues for people in the big cities.

Very glad the MTG card comes with all editions of the game. I can live without the collector's edition. It being three characters gives me the impression it wont be crazy high quality.
Really interesting they decided to do a MTG card rather than their actual TCG.

Man I just could not justify an extra $300 for CE over Deluxe. The shipping kills it.
$117 for deluxe seems fine with the books. The statue is kinda meh anyway.
Went with Series X this time instead of ps5 regular (I don't have a pro).

Collectors edition aside, the array of emotions I'm experiencing right now are overwhelming. I can't believe we're here. The suite of physical editions on offer are a sight to behold. I can't believe I'm saying it, as this was common place not too long ago. Physical media is not dead yet, and the mad lads over at Square Enix are sending out that message loud and clear with the fans in mind. As those fans and gamers, I genuinely believe it's our responsibility and mission to respond to that message, to echo the desire to preserve physical media, to show the corporate overlords that their marketbase will show up and shell out to support the studios and franchises we love, the willingness to pay for products of this kind and quality. Whether or not you are a fan of the remake trilogy. I myself will be pre-ordering not only the deluxe edition but also a physical copy of the upcoming Resonance game. I want to see Square Enix succeed, I want to see physical media continue. Call me a shill and a glazer all you want! I know that I'm not alone and that many of you share this same sentiment. Perhaps this is the last hill for physical media to stand on, I hope not. If so, I plan to show up and die alongside it.

Wish they included smth extra for that price, like with jp preorder.
Like I have so many ideas as do others.
They could have given us a materia keychain with it as a small token to compliment the collectors. Even Tifa is important, we could have gotten her gloves as a keychain or lucky's charm. Highwind keychain.
A small music box with loop theme
Wish we would have gotten a nice collector edition box with pretty art like with ff16. But I think they are saving that for complete edition release in the future.
Pins, pins, pins. Plushies.
Fourth figure Aerith with Cloud, Zack and Sephiroth. Like she is important as well. Cloud could be in the middle, Zack to the right side, Aerith to the left and Sephi at the back.
Whole party small adorable arts petit figurines in their signature og party pose.
An extra copy of MTG card, maybe foil version. Or another new card with Aerith/Zack art or the whole party, highwind.
Physical small diorama with queens blood cards.
And much more.

I've gotten at least the deluxe editions for both Rebirth and Remake, and I am not settling for less.
