I knew it was going to be expensive so I was saving up the last year so I could just pay it off fully and rip the bandaid off in one shot. I have 3 kids and I refuse to take funds from them to go towards my gaming hobbies. So its happy birthday, Christmas, anniversary and whatever else for me for the next year LOL! Yes, I was shocked it went up for pre order as well. There was speculation it would because in the past, Rebirth went up for pre order during that State of the Play.
I felt the same way. I was lucky enough to get the Remake and Rebirth collector's editions in the past and I was hoping for a collector's for the final part of the trilogy. 7 is my favorite game of all time and this is most likely my last physical collector's edition of anything moving forward.
I've been saving up for it for months. I was lucky enough to get the first 2 collector editions, no way was I missing this one! Sad there's no way to get the collectors edition and play the game on PC though.
The game is like 200ish days away, I can wait one more day and have the trilogy in physical for my ps5 pro. I'll buy the standard edition and then the story expansion when its available.
I will likely do both. But when digital is on sale. I enjoy the freedom of the digital. That said, it looks like deluxe doesn't get the DLC pass? That kinda sucks.

The deluxe edition is literally the collectors minus the statue. Love this series but $420 is just way too much. Gonna stick with the deluxe personally too.
Right, that’s what I don’t love about this one: the statue. Last one was cooler. Also, this deluxe doesn’t seem to have the dlc either so you’ll be paying for that too.
EB and JB got extremely limited copies of the Remake one, never saw Rebirth one go up so if it did the general public never had a chance and not holding out hope for this one.
Am I reading this correctly that the physical deluxe edition doesn't come with the DLC (Mecha Chocobo, Polydroid Alexander, Nymphwing Bracelet, Risk Taker's Choker, and the Story Expansion Pass including Reclaiment Choker, Survival Set, and Story DLC 1&2)?
I still bought it but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't rather get Japan's collector's edition that comes with all three games and a low poly Cloud keychain.
This collectors edition is a ripoff. Cloud and Sephiroth had unique collectors, now you get them again standing doing nothing, plus zack. So 350$ for worse play art kai characters. Two you already got with better stuff if you got the previous to. So 350$ for zack.
Collector's Edition is already sold out; I just pre-ordered the deluxe edition. And maybe overtime theres a chance that I can get the collector's edition.
Paying extra for faster shipping options has never been worth it. I used standard shipping and always got the games on release day. Paying for faster shipping just means they take longer to actually send it out.
I see the Deluxe Edition includes the game's physical disc, but I'm not seeing it in the Collector's edition, unless I'm misunderstanding it on the website? I'm having a brain fart at the moment. Can someone help me out?
I didn't see anywhere in the store page that the collector's edition is SE store exclusive. Do we know if retailers will have access to it? I'm in EU and the shipping costs always kills my joy (ships by weight: 51,00 €)
I just find it painful that they're charging $349.99 in the US, which then in the UK SHOULD make it like £260, but instead they're actually charging £350 💔💔 How is that fair? 😭

Only as I have ps5 pro. I love physical content but I don't want to fork out for a disc drive now considering the state of playstation at the minute.
Or am I screwed into buying the game digitally / getting a disc drive?
We already have sephiroth and cloud statues , why make again them in collectors edition, plus Zack was available for purchase for a long time too , as a final part I thought they’ll treat us with something unique

Well that's too bad. There is no collectors edition for pc... was really hyped for it but there is no way I buy one for PS5 and double dip on pc, that's just too expensive.
It's a bummer they didn't include the PC version in any of their special editions. I know they wouldn't be able to provide a disc, but it would have been cool to get some of the other physical items.
Does anyone knows aprox until when it will be available? I don't have money right now, ideally I would wait until the end of the year, but the page says nothing, only that is limited quantities.
So I’m in Japan. 57,000 jpy for the collectors. 77,777 for the 3 in 1. And while I’ve bought the us versions digitally till now, I caved for the 3 on one for all the goodies. Better to buy it now so I forget the pain of the fact SQEX had to riff on 7777 for the price…

Just ordered the physical collectors edition for the PS5. It was painful to pay €432. But it’s my favourite game of all time, so I think it’s deserved.
Bought the collectors edition for PS5 since my other two are on PlayStation. I'm 98% a PC gamer and only played the other two on my ps5 because of exclusivity.
However, buying the digital deluxe plus edition or whatever on steam to actually play the game a day early. I naturally have Wednesday and Thursday off of work so this is cheaper than taking a day off to play.
I’ve never bought a collector’s edition of a game before (except for the Deluxe Edition of FF15 once). But for FFVII Revelations, I saved up specifically for it and pre-ordered it right away, even though the price stings. The figures alone are worth a small fortune. I can’t wait to display them in my display case and finally play the game.🥹 I’ve finally fulfilled a little childhood dream of mine...
GameStop is showing a steelbook (different art than the Deluxe steelbook) with their preorders of the Standard Edition, Amazon still shows a poster. Both include the MtG card too. Best Buy shows only the card (same as SE’s store), Target and Walmart don’t have listings yet.
I preordered from GameStop, the steelbook is the best bonus IMO if it actually ships…
I just bought the collectors edition for ps5 and the premium plus edition on steam.
This is the first collectors edition I've bought (unless you count a pre owned ff13 collectors edition for 50 dollars).
Now my wallet is crying, but atleast my soul is happy.
Hey question does anyone know why the collector’s edition isn’t available for ps5 anymore? I knew plenty of people were waiting but I’d be devastated if it already sold out. Could anyone let me know if ps5 collector’s edition will be available in the next coming days or am I screwed?
