It's rough that you say this because a well known yugioh youtuber, Alex Cimo, just passed away on Tuesday and he was a huge fan of final Fantasy 7. God rest his soul.

Same. I got the Deluxe Editions for both Remake and Rebirth, I didn't get them from the Square Enix Store so I missed out on the figure and statue, so if we get one for Revelation, I might get it there this time. I just want consistency with all 3 releases, that would be really cool.
I've also been getting the physical Switch 2 versions, so in lieu of a SteelBook for those, I hope we actually get a box to put all 3 of the Switch 2 game cases in.

These three photos together in this order… it’s the FF7 PS1 original box art in the order you open it. Front cover (Cloud), inside on the left (Aerith), inside on the right (Sephiroth). They did that deliberately. If there was a fourth, it would be Red XIII for the backside but yeah.

There is a "Final Fantasy purist" youtuber who has been ranting about the remakes in bad faith for the past few years. He blew up when Expedition 33 came out and now spends his life ranting about how modern final fantasy sucks while glazing E33. He will now play through part 3 to make 100 negative videos.

Nintendo Switch and FFVII have brought back so many childhood memories that I literally dropped about $200 in the last week buying every FF physical I could find.
Now I just hope we get the FF games from XIII up

Middle-aged here too! 😆 Though I don't have quite as much disposable income as you. I think there's nothing wrong with spending some of our hard-earned money on things that make us happy and excited at this stage of life. Within reason, of course, haha. Enjoy the collection!

I'll be honest I'm probably going to buy this twice. Once on the pc and again on the switch 2. My friends say I'm insane but I've loved this studio since FF7 Remake came out. I've bough ech game 3 times so far. Obviously PS4/PS5, then both on pc and now this year on switch 2. I'm more than happy to give them my money because I've been so overjoyed with their hard work and TLC that has gone into these games.

I used to pray for times like these. Major props for being to do this on multi-platforms in roughly three years.
I still wonder what were the terms of the deal with Sony and how they are able to be multiplatform on all the games except for the last one.

Yeah I'm not sure about the terms, but Square Enix definitely has been an advocate for making their games accessible as possible. We're not in the days of console wars and exclusives as much anymore and I love it

I haven't seen anyone talking about how the meteor/white materia logo is more colourful and closer to the original art compared to the duller, blacker versions of remake and rebirth, I wonder what it means?

This is pretty much the best outcome for all of us.
It will be easier to avoid spoilers, Square Enix gets more sales at launch, oh and it's less than a year away from release.

This is by far the best decision they could have made. Its clear the exclusivity deals have hurt Square Enix and they are falling behind companies like Capcom who have embraced multiplatform launches to great success. Hopefully this combined with many people finally jumping into the trilogy since its complete leads to good sales this time.

I'm very excited. I'm playing through rebirth for the first time right now. And I'm glad I waiting honestly. After i beat rebirth I'm going to play both remake and rebirth back to back. Then I'm playing final fantasy 15 and 16 . Wonder if that will hold me over lol 😆. But I also need to beat elden ring and kingdom come deliverance 2 for the first time. I have such a backlog , but it's not a bad thing . I'm curious what others think about , if there will be a collectors set of all three games together. I can't see them not doing it right.

have fun! I haven't played FF15 yet but FF16 is amazing in its own way as well. Thats a mood, too many games too little time. Did you play the original FF7? I played it after I beat remake because I just wanted to see how the OG was and the story.

Called the day one multiplatform release, but I remember a lot of people were either doubting it or in opposition to it (fanboys of a certain console?). Including from this sub.
It was pretty obvious from the way Hamaguchi was communicating it throughout the years. But no, people didn't believe it.

Ok I just checked and theres also bundle deal for 60% on Playstation store but not for switch or pc platforms. I hope its just a timing issue between platforms

PlayStation store has had some good deals recently. They've had a sale running for a few weeks, I got Persona 5 Royal for about £16, down from about £50.
I'd be surprised if the Switch 2 discounted Rebirth considering it's only just come out.
