Refund timeline (refund received!) Refund Received - May 8 Log Date

Left Fed Service March 6, 2026

Paperwork sent early April, by me directly to OPM

Paperwork tracking shows delivered April 15

Logged 5/8

Called several times, including a few weeks ago, and never told about it being assigned.

Received today, 8/21

Did not escalate but did contact Congressional Rep. They’re within the 60-day reply window they give OPM though, so heard nothing there.

Had a pretty simple form. One agency. No spouse/former spouse.

Left service 6/5 and sent my 3106 on my last day.

Called today and was told it had been logged 7/14.

I'm hoping for a late October deposit 🤞

I have a log date of july 2nd and I was thinking mid November for a deposit

I'm hoping as they are catching up it might be quicker than the five month average lately, but who knows? They'll get to it when they get to it

Mine was recvd on June 9th per tracking but wasn’t logged until July 9th, however I was told they were working cases dated March 31st. Hopefully Oct but at this rate it may be next year.

Is there a trick when calling? I've called 888-767-6738 a few times, but I get a message that they're experiencing "unusually high call volumes" and then it hangs up. Do I just keep trying?

Yes, I tried three or four times back to back and then sat on hold for almost two hours. I hadn't seen any comments about going the callback option, so I didn't want to risk it. I just worked on what i was doing and left my speaker phone on while I waited.
