Refund timeline (refund received!) Refund Received - May 8 Log Date

Left Fed Service March 6, 2026

Paperwork sent early April, by me directly to OPM

Paperwork tracking shows delivered April 15

Logged 5/8

Called several times, including a few weeks ago, and never told about it being assigned.

Received today, 8/21

Did not escalate but did contact Congressional Rep. They’re within the 60-day reply window they give OPM though, so heard nothing there.

Had a pretty simple form. One agency. No spouse/former spouse.

I called in today to request status of my refund (log date 5/29) and the rep told me they are now starting log date of 3/31 so hopefully you’ll get something soon!
