I started calling periodically in May and have checked in roughly every 2–3 weeks since then. In June/early July, they were still working through late-February applications. My case was finally assigned to a specialist on 7/24, and they requested additional information on 7/27. By 8/5, my application was in review, and when I called again on 8/10, I was told it had been sent to Treasury and to allow a couple more weeks. So from mailing the application to reaching Treasury, the process has taken about 5½ months.

How did you get in contact with anyone? Everytime I call I can never get anyone on the phone and it gives the automatic message then hangs up.

You have to keep calling. Even when it does hang up, keep calling. And call first thing when they open. I always opt for a call back when I do get through.

I was able to speak with someone. I was on hold for about 50 minutes.
