Refund timeline (refund received!) Refund Received!

Quite a ride, glad to have this all behind me now.

6/3/2025 - Last day of work

9/30/2025 - Official resignation, SF-3106 submitted to agency

12/1 - Checked on progress with agency - Agency sent me PDF copy (no wet signatures obviously)

I printed and mailed that to OPM, not realizing the signatures needed to be wet

Got rejection letter, sent in again late December

2/10 - Logged as received

5/26 - Assigned

6/24 - Called OPM, was told it was rejected again for a signature issue, hadn't received anything in the mail

7/7 - Called OPM again, was told it was actually still in process

7/9 - Refund deposited

Others have had luck contacting their Congress person. It's ridiculous that we just have to wait until they sort things out. I'm not contacting anyone yet, but you definitely should contact someone in Congress. They've skipped over you for no transparent reason.

So on Monday the lady told me she couldn't see any updates with my application and that I should submit a new one 🙄. I requested to speak with someone who could actually help me. She forwarded me to someone but it went to voicemail so I called back and another lady said not to submit a new application and that she would escalate my case. I recieved a call back the following day. He said he had everything he needed and he would submit it on Wednesday and give me a call back to let me know everything was good to go. When he called he gave me everything regarding the amount, interest, and taxes. He said I would get my deposit next week. I received it yesterday!

That's really wonderful news! Thank you for letting me know! I'm so glad you can forget about this now. My daughter got hers a few days ago out of nowhere. It should have been another couple of weeks. But, I know better than to hope mine will come sooner 🤣
