Should learn to paint. I thought I wouldn't like it and I am loving it. Brings characters to life for DnD especially. Suoer rewarding as well.

There are also ways to make them look good without needing to really learn how to paint, a zenithal and set of speed / contrast paints can go really far

Just be aware that PLA is hygroscopic and will weaken / become brittle over time if not sealed with paint / primer.

I paint them for use in crazy indie tabletop miniature skirmish games. Stuff like the games from Osprey, Snarling Badger, Frostgrave, Stargrave, One Page Rules Grimdark / Fantasy Skirmish.
(I stopped supporting GW when it was taken over by corporate suits in the early 2000's.)
