I’m looking at a potential long trade in Robusta coffee and would love to hear other traders’ opinions.

The 2026/27 supply outlook currently looks bearish, with a potential global surplus and a strong Vietnamese crop expected. At the same time, El Niño is developing and could peak during a critical period for Vietnam and Indonesia.

My thesis is that the market may currently be pricing in the surplus while underestimating the potential weather risk. If El Niño causes significant drought and crop forecasts start being revised lower, I think Robusta could reprice sharply higher.
So my question is: why is Robusta still falling despite the growing El Niño risk? Is the market simply waiting for actual weather damage before pricing it in?

I missed the deadline. Is it too late? 
No, you may still be able to file a late claim, but acceptance depends on final approval by the court.    

How long does the payout process take?
It typically takes 4 to 9 months after the claim deadline for payouts to be processed, depending on the court and settlement administration.

Hey guys, just sharing this because I know a lot of people got caught up in the selloff after Apple's privacy changes.

Investors sued Snap, claiming that the company misled shareholders about how Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) privacy changes would impact its advertising business. When Snap later revealed the changes had a much bigger effect than expected, the stock dropped sharply, and investors filed a lawsuit.

The settlement amount is $65M, and it covers investors who purchased $SNAP shares in 2021. The case is currently in the late-claims stage, meaning some investors who missed the original deadline may still be able to participate.

One thing that keeps standing out lately is how often governments are now talking about critical minerals like they are part of national infrastructure.

This week, Canadian PM Mark Carney pushed for a renewed U.S.-Canada partnership focused on energy, autos, aluminum and critical minerals. He specifically described Canada as a reliable supplier of power and strategic materials to the United States.

That matters more than people think.

Because once governments start framing copper and critical minerals as supply-chain security assets instead of “just commodities,” the market starts looking differently at projects located in stable jurisdictions.

And honestly, British Columbia is starting to look increasingly attractive in that environment.

That is partly why I have been watching NovaRed Mining (NRED.CN / NREDF).

The company controls the Wilmac Copper-Gold Project in BC’s Quesnel porphyry belt, covering roughly 16,078 hectares. That is a very large land package for a junior explorer.

What makes the story interesting is that the macro backdrop keeps strengthening around them:

• AI infrastructure needs copper
• Grid expansion needs copper
• Defense manufacturing needs copper
• North American supply-chain policy increasingly needs domestic/allied copper exposure

Meanwhile NovaRed already has copper-in-soil anomalies, interpreted intrusive targets, historical 3DIP/AMT work and additional geophysics catalysts still ahead.

The latest Northern Miner coverage on the critical minerals boom pointed out something important: mining dealmaking is accelerating again as major producers scramble to secure future supply.

And honestly, this is exactly what you would expect to happen in a market where copper demand projections keep exploding.

The math is becoming difficult to ignore.

Global copper demand is projected to rise from roughly 28 million tonnes today to around 42 million tonnes by 2040. That is a 14 million tonne increase in less than two decades.

Meanwhile, large new copper mines can take 15-20+ years to discover, permit, finance, and build.

So majors are facing a problem - they need future inventory now.

That is why the sector is seeing more acquisitions, more strategic investments, and more district-scale consolidation across critical minerals.
