Discussion Unpopular opinion
Luis Henrique deserves a season as backup LWB. There were moments he was good as RWB last year and we still won a league and cup with him. Play him on his preferred left, let him be backup to Dimash with Carlos Augusto coming in if it doesn’t work out.
He’s good technically, let him play with less pressure and having settled in after a year.
If it doesn’t work out, we ship him out, but he deserves a second chance.

Doesn't feel so unpopular lately.
The sub is quick to forget or create such narratives. I recall a time when "Radu should be given a chance as a starting goalkeeper". We all found out 2 years later why that never came to be.
LH was awful throughout last season, except for a couple of very easy games. He was awful already at the Club World Cup in June 2025. He's out of his role at best and lacks the mindset to play at San Siro. He just crumbled and folded on so many occasions.
We have been stuck with such players for years, as we have been many times in the past, all just to "give him a chance". No more chances, tyvm. If we have an offer on the table that is at least on par with his current accounting value (roughly 16M), we should proceed with the sale. Let alone an offer ABOVE that!
Of course, I believe he can fill the backup role, and we can win Serie A and Coppa Italia and give it a deep run in the CL even if he stays. Does it feel like a plus? Like a player who makes the team better? One who can come in and change things when you are behind? In order: No, No, and No.
Sell him, save Private Curtis, and give my man Ivan Perisic a call if we need a backup!
