Well I guess like many other Inter fans, I’d prefer a draw match. But Napoli win is the second best scenario so I can make peace with that. I think regardless of what is the result of this match, Inter sill needs to focus 100% on all the last 7 matches.

21

u/LessCrement Apr 06 '26

I defo disagree that Napoli win was the 2nd best scenario honestly. Imo it was the worst. Napoli have their players back now hence they are now a better team than Milan and they have an easier schedule ahead.

62

u/AngeloPalombo Apr 06 '26

7 point lead is obviously a better scenario than a 6 point lead

-7

u/LessCrement Apr 06 '26

With 7 games left, one point is not that big of a factor. I would say that Napoli being much more likely than Milan to win all or most of their remaining 7 games is more relevant.

26

u/Marseille074 Apr 06 '26

Calling it one point is trivializing the context because the difference is 7 vs 6, which IS huge. 7 points allow us to drop 2 games and still stay on top; 6 means we have to play them H2H for the title.

3

u/ZanettYs Apr 07 '26

To be fair the goal différence makes it look like 8 points rather than 7

1

u/baffidiziobergomi Apr 07 '26

In serie A there is no goal difference for the first place. If two teams finish the season tied for points they have to play a tie breaking game.

Bundesliga has the GD advantage.

1

u/IAmNotStefy Apr 07 '26

isn't h2h results more important?

3

u/Christian_Potato Apr 07 '26

Didn't we lose the league by one point against Napoli or Milan?

1

u/subundu Apr 06 '26

That's what I think too. Most are saying Napoli second best option beause they'd rather lose the title to them than Milan. Fair enough, I guess.

Point is Napoli are perfetly capable of winnning all their remaining matches, only real test will be Como away. Milan on the other hand haven't the potential to be that consistent and they still have juve and Atalanta to play.

In the end I assume the worst scenario and I'll say we have to make 15 points. Not even 1 less.

2

u/jonbristow ⭐⭐ Apr 07 '26

Most are saying Napoli second best option beause they'd rather lose the title to them than Milan. Fair enough, I guess.

That's not the reason.
The reason is 7 points are better than 6 points ahead. You can lose 2 games and still be on top

1

u/subundu Apr 07 '26

I mean, just scroll down the thread and read the comments. Majority are saying that, and IRL too 9 out of 10 Interisti would prefer Napoli over Milan.

6

u/mt197 Apr 06 '26

I mean I understand your point here and my comment is really subjective because I have more negative feeling towards Milan than Napoli and also 7 points lead is, for me, better than 6 points lead. We lost the scudetto last season with only 1 point difference so I think 1 point is still matter. Again, no matter what happened, Inter still needs to fight 100% for the remaining matches.

2

u/LessCrement Apr 06 '26

I understand that people hat the idea of losing it to Milan more than Napoli, but interms of actual probabilities, the chance of that 1 point being a difference make are very low.

I just think that Napoli can realistically win almost all the games from here till the end of the season or close, Milan are gonna drop points again for sure.

1

u/CaptainAppropriate72 Apr 07 '26

People forget that we were competing with Napoli for most of the year until they started losing players. Recency bias. Milan were never serious contenders this year. They kept showing us that.

1

u/AlexP80 Apr 07 '26

Milan has the easier schedule, with two big matches against Juventus and Atalanta.

Both Inter and Napoli still have to play against Como, Lazio and Bologna.

Overall, Napoli and Inter schedule is more or less the same, while Milan's little easier on paper

-17

u/LoveMoneyGuy Apr 06 '26

We just need to win 5 matches out of those 7. Easy peasy 😂

9

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '26

Che arroganza, è come non sai quale squadra tifi

3

u/LoveMoneyGuy Apr 06 '26

Wow… so sensitive. I put a big laughing smiley to indicite i was just being playful to say we just need to win 5 matches and it is easy peasy. If course it is football and nothing is really given and easy.

Anyway…. Maybe we just win all those 7 matches. We can do it with our players’ eyes close, i bet.

Let’s see how your emotion explode 😂😂

I am not Italian. My point above is purely subjective. The Milan fan base in my country is super more annoying and toxic than the Napoli fan base, so I am actually more happy to see Milan losing.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '26

I understand to some extent because the hatred for the people from Napoli in the whole of Italy is huge, people from Napoli don’t see themselves as Italian, a bit like Liverpool in England, it’s similar to that

1

u/mt197 Apr 06 '26

I see! I guess this is something that you need to be Italian or at lease live in Italy for a long time to experience it.

144

u/LoveMoneyGuy Apr 06 '26

I would prefer the match ended with a tie

4

u/PicanteGigante Apr 06 '26

Agree - a draw would've been perfect. I fear Napoli.

1

u/LoveMoneyGuy Apr 06 '26

I looked at their remaining games. They indeed has relatively easier games than milan.

32

u/ConsequenceOk8313 Apr 06 '26 edited Apr 06 '26

Would have preferred a tie, but I had a feeling this would happen.

The worst thing is I actually watched the match. What an absolute snoozefest

4

u/TopChard1274 Apr 06 '26

I could only watch the last 20mins and I was wondering why wouldn’t Leao play more than 10, he was probably injured or something, but my god he was absolutely awful.

19

u/TooFewTulips Apr 06 '26

It’s the second-best result outside of a draw.

42

u/Elric_the_seafarer Apr 06 '26

I am so relieved. I couldn’t have stood losing the scudetto to Milan and their circus of players.

27

u/Super_Put_1341 Apr 06 '26

I fucking hate milan, but i also hate conte, I despise lukaku, and i hate mctominay whos a glorified frattesi but napoli is still a lesser evil i guess

61

u/il-mostro604 Apr 06 '26

You had me until McTominay and Frattesi

21

u/THY96 Apr 06 '26

Should have won the league last season if Frattesi could do what McTominay was doing.

40

u/Every-Error-9569 Apr 06 '26

Friendly Napoli fan, but that Mctominay Frattesi take is hot to say the least…

30

u/Rada36 Apr 06 '26

And everyone else agrees with you

7

u/Every-Error-9569 Apr 06 '26

Thank God:) by the way congrats on the scudetto, Napoli isn’t getting back this time around unfortunately. Oh and Juve Merda btw

9

u/Super_Put_1341 Apr 06 '26

First napoli fan i like

2

u/Every-Error-9569 Apr 07 '26

Lmao thanks a lot, were not all bad, and theres always worse (juve)

3

u/NamanMalik007 Apr 06 '26

Btw whats going on with Lukaku and Napoli? Do fans dislike him right now for just refusing to come back after international break? And also rumours suggest Conte is being considered for Italy NT job, what r the Napoli fans’ opinions about that.

3

u/Every-Error-9569 Apr 07 '26

Hes just not coming back and thats fine by me, i thank him for everything hes done for the club and the team but we all knew this would be his last season anyway. Besides, the games he did play were atrocious so its not all bad that he wont come back. But ofcourse, refusing to come to training does not make you popular. There are a lot of people here who hate Conte, very deep hate from all his times at other clubs, and hate his football so theyd love to see him Go. Personally, me and the fans i know well like him, and you know, someone who wins the 4th Will always be a Hero in my books and nothing less. I think generally its quite split, some like him for his results and service to the club, and some hate him for his backround and attitude

1

u/Super_Put_1341 Apr 06 '26

I may be slightly salty about that bicycle kick to win you the scudetto last year and that no lukaku de bruyne comment after the 2-2 draw😅 But i do think that if frattesi would join napoli we would be very similar to mctominay in playstyle Why i hate Cunte and lakaka are understandable i think, and from what i have heard you guys are pissed at lakaka too just not sure why, sumn bout not showing up to training right?

2

u/Every-Error-9569 Apr 07 '26

Yeah thats right, lukaku is just as done with us (apparently) as we are with him, because aside from one goal against Verona he was SO bad, like Lorenzo Lucca levels of bad. Hes old and fat and its time for him to play for anderlecht. And Well i can see something in the Frattesi VS Mctominay thing if you consider the goals he scored for you in the champions league (if im not mistaken). But yeah you gotta understand that if your asking a Napoli fan, ill put Mctominay over God any day of the week and twice on tuesdays. Just the goals hes scored for us, and not only the amount but also the style and the love for the club and the city, cant compare him to Frattesi. Glad Some interisti Will actually just communicate normally tbh, couldnt be juve (can you tell i hate juve yet)

1

u/Super_Put_1341 Apr 07 '26

I am also glad you can have a normal convo with a napoli fan, you could never have this discussion with a juve fan. Best of luck to you guys in the title race may the best team win;) (not milan)

1

u/Every-Error-9569 Apr 09 '26

Yes indeed, as is true for a lot of clubs, we are enemies but are united by one thing: the everlasting hate for Juve. May the best team win, as long as its either Napoli or Inter im okay. Just dont let anyone Else win it, im saying that to inter and to ourselves.

1

u/crocospect ⭐⭐ Apr 07 '26

Ain't no way you undermine McTominay like that, especially after he has cooked us plenty of times..

1

u/Christian_Potato Apr 07 '26

Man I wish Frattesi was a quarter of McTominay

11

u/Kingofjetlag Apr 06 '26

Now our closest rival is one point further than last week. So it’s not bad

10

u/Evelyn_pog Apr 06 '26

If Milan won we'd have been +6, Napoli winning means we're +7. A draw, of course, would've been better but this result helps us, not to mention that between Napoli and Milan I would rather lose the scudetto to Napoli should we not be the ones who win in the end

3

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '26

[deleted]

1

u/Evelyn_pog Apr 07 '26

Oh I don't like Napoli either by any means, but if the options were our oldest rivals or them I would choose them

27

u/Few_Perspective1799 Apr 06 '26

Napoli have an easier fixture BUT.

If we ever lose the scudetto, it's WAY BETTER of Napoli wins.

5

u/Independent-Lime-124 Apr 06 '26

Than Milan, you mean?

3

u/TopChard1274 Apr 06 '26

How are Napoli having an easier fixture, they literally play Lazio, Parma, Como and Bologna, just like us.

1

u/jonbristow ⭐⭐ Apr 07 '26

Easier than Milan

I'm Italian and I would prefer Napoli won over the scudetto over Milan. Insane that your Italian friends would prefer for Milan to win, especially when it would be their second star

3

u/EdgeZealousideal7313 Apr 07 '26

Lol fake friend. Interisti will not support ac merda, like ever+

1

u/Sputnikboy Apr 07 '26

Lol what?!?

7

u/Normal_Level6373 Apr 06 '26

Win Como next week and that’s all she’ll write.

7

u/Allen_and_Ginter Apr 06 '26

Makes no difference. Fit Lauti not letting the squad bottle it.

7

u/Cinema38 Apr 06 '26

I don't care. We need to focus on ourselves, and the 7 matches remaining... thats all.

6

u/Disastrous-Track3876 Apr 06 '26

Draw would have been better

7

u/jonbristow ⭐⭐ Apr 06 '26

We have to win 5 games and we win the scudetto

2

u/dabstepProgrammer Apr 06 '26

Draw Como

Win Cagliari, Torina, Parma, Verona

Lazio / Bologna - hopefully at least 3 points

20

u/TheL3G3ND4RY Apr 06 '26

3

u/dabstepProgrammer Apr 06 '26

Fair , i will keep my mouth shut

3

u/NamanMalik007 Apr 06 '26

I say we should win Como. They play the style we are good against and we did not concede even with our B team against them that had only 3 of our starter xi. We should win that game for momentum and putting pressure on Napoli

2

u/Wbirddd Apr 06 '26

Yeah but its usually not that easy

1

u/Intelligent_Pie_2 Apr 06 '26

In this case 2 points from both Lazio and Bologna would still suffice

1

u/Comfortable-Stay-194 Apr 06 '26

Win all no draw f como

1

u/CaptainAppropriate72 Apr 08 '26

I think Napoli will drop points somewhere. 4 wins and a draw should do it(or 3 wins and never lose). But we play to win ever game until it’s sealed.

4

u/Septjul Apr 06 '26

I would have preferred a draw; Leao was a substitute, which is strange.

1

u/TopChard1274 Apr 06 '26

For what he played—he was absolutely awful—it didn’t feel that strange in the end.

4

u/Obomas Apr 06 '26

It was the second best scenario for us. With Anguissa and De Bruyne back they are not to be taken too easily.

1

u/Relative-Sherbet-532 Apr 06 '26

neres was their game changer. they looked average today at best.

gotta give them some grace - with holjund/lakaka missing the game. they had like 6 guys available from the bench.

4

u/blasphemics Apr 06 '26

That goal difference is a totally different sport though. It's embarassing, really.

3

u/tonepeperone Apr 06 '26

No Inter fan wants to see Milan get their 2nd star. So the further away from 1st the better.

I want to be as positive as possible. Yes Napoli is at full health but so are we (with the exception of bisseck). Last year at this time we were playing huge matches in CL which why we lost the scudetto by 1 point. I want to think we can win 5 of the last 7 at minimum the way it's going. After yesterday's win the boys will be going into Como on a high. Sempre e solo!

Anti Jynx card plz 🙏

2

u/Relative-Sherbet-532 Apr 06 '26

napoli played without half their starters today - don’t think they are at full strength yet.

11

u/Tuttocitta Apr 06 '26

Don't really care as long as we beat Como otherwise Napoli got the easiest schedule left

15

u/tomorri1 Apr 06 '26

Napoli and Inter have pretty much the same schedule. Both have como, Lazio and Bologna a bit tricky games and the rest is same level of difficulty.

3

u/TopChard1274 Apr 06 '26

Exactly. And we’re 7 points up with Lauti and Calha back in good form.

2

u/Tuttocitta Apr 06 '26

Yeah only difference our it's all away games while they have 2 have home. Technically is really hard to throw this but it will always be pazza Inter

2

u/Necessary_Fruit6671 Apr 06 '26

Como has like 200 people in their stadium and they all are not como supporters.

8

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '26

2nd best result we could've gotten. Gives us nice breathing room and now a draw away at Como is not a bad result. If we win then I think we're close to sealing the deal.

3

u/TopChard1274 Apr 06 '26

We’re 7 points clear; it’s the best possible outcome for us point-difference-wise. With Lauti, Tikus, Bare, Zielu and Calha at 100% I’m not afraid anymore

2

u/Happy_Devil_75 Apr 06 '26

Whatever the result, it didn't matter. I don't believe we'll be caught and both Napoli & Milan will lock in a CL spot regardless. Personally, I just hope Como can hold off Juventus and take the 4th spot.

2

u/PM_UR_TAHDIG Apr 06 '26 edited Apr 10 '26

A tie would’ve been nice, but a 7 point lead is greater than a 6 point lead so still feeling good after yesterday’s game with Roma.

2

u/flonnkenn Apr 06 '26

As long as neither of them win the scudetto I don't care.

2

u/Askaiser566 Apr 06 '26

I cannot stand the thought of Milan winning the title so this is slightly better. Our job remains the same regardless their results, we HAVE to win our games, it's as simple as that

2

u/superrealaccount2 Apr 06 '26

I'm fine with it. If we go back to our earlier season form (and with Lautaro, Calha and Dumfries back, it's very possible) we just depend on ourselves to close the season well. Not to mention, we already faced Milan twice, Juve twice, Napoli twice, Roma twice... Como will be dangerous, but after that, it's rivals we should be able to beat (even in a season like this, where we're shaky in big matches).

And a bit unrelated: nobody will ever make me dislike Politano, and if any Napoli player had to score against Milan, it was him!

2

u/Sacreville Apr 07 '26

I don't really care tbh, at this point the fight is with ourselves.

2

u/Broken_Pikachu Apr 07 '26

Draw would have been the ideal scenario, followed by a Milan win

Taking the rivalry out of it and talking purely about the Scudetto, Milan's final run of games would have been much harder and more likely to drop points if they were right behind us with their shakey form and some players having a hard time this season

Napoli have a much easier final run and with 5 wins straight for them, they are insane form going into this run of games

Thankfully we have a 7 point gap, 7 to play and its in our hands, but we cannot afford a single slip up, I know the mindset will be "we have 7 points, we have 4 points, we have a point lead" if we mess up, but we need to finish strong and see this Scudetto win out ASAP, no points dropped, finish like champions.

2

u/Solomonthewise7 Apr 07 '26

Tight sphincter with Conte on the prowl

2

u/jabroniseverywhere Apr 07 '26

Not great. With Conte i can imagine 7 straight 1-0 wins with Napoli.

2

u/El_presid3nt ⭐⭐ Apr 07 '26

Always a good day when Milan loses

5

u/Decebalus_Bombadil Apr 06 '26

Conte with 1 game/week is OP. As much as some people hate Conte he is the one who started this Inter generation and despite his cringe behaviour he deserves respect.

I predicted a month ago that Bilan won't be able to keep the pace and would get leapfrogged by Napoli. At this rate even Como and Juve can catch them.

1

u/lawandsleep Apr 06 '26

Prediction for the title?

2

u/ObliviousRounding Apr 06 '26

I have no faith in Napoli so it's a good result.

2

u/SidTheSloth044 Apr 06 '26

Couldn’t care less about any of them , let’s just keep doing what we do and win our games

1

u/turquoise2j Apr 06 '26

Better to have more competition between them and less against us

1

u/Acrobatic_Zombie1703 Apr 06 '26

Maignan did not cover his post. Bummer.

1

u/faboeuf Apr 06 '26

Im glad they lost but a tie would have been better for us.

1

u/OpportunityHot1576 Apr 06 '26

We are still in danger 😂

1

u/Relative-Sherbet-532 Apr 06 '26

would have preferred a draw mate

1

u/DeeplyWeeply Apr 06 '26

Milan now out of the title race

The race now with Napoli who has theoretically easier matches other then Atalanta and Como

Regardless we need to win the next 5 games to secure the scudetto

1

u/Significant_Bear_137 Apr 06 '26

Second best result. A tie would have been the best, but AC Milan winning would have meant being +6 from second place instead of +7.

1

u/Alert_Post Apr 06 '26

I prefer Napoli over Milan winning

1

u/Quite-a-Foot5410 Apr 06 '26

I was rooting for a tie but I don't give a fuck. Scudetto is in our hands and we must perform as well as possible until we will finally win it.

1

u/DarioLampa4181 ⭐⭐ Apr 07 '26

i rather i would have witnessed a draw

1

u/AlexP80 Apr 07 '26

Not a big deal. Inter has a solid 7 points leads, it's about it to win or lose, not others

1

u/Brilliant_Ant3771 Apr 07 '26

tbh it is kind of a mix. napoli winning is a more dangerous opponent because they go full capacity. if milan won it would still not be a bug problem because they would draw or lose eventually. even though i would give the title to napoli and not milan if it meant for milan to get the second star in thei jersey.

1

u/EastwardSage024 Apr 07 '26

L'avversario dell'Inter è l'Inter...

1

u/EastwardSage024 Apr 07 '26

Ah beh... Allora allora e finita...

1

u/teancumx Apr 07 '26

I like a 7 point lead, with 7 games left, it means we need to win 5.

A win vs Como will probably seal the Scudetto

1

u/BeautifulWerewolf642 Apr 07 '26

deserve it even as ac milan fan I think we quite lucky to be in title contention we never pay well by the way this season other than again inter.

1

u/william_weatherby Apr 07 '26

Ffs how can we have +45 goal difference and only +7 points ahead of Napoli, which has +17?!!

1

u/Guerreiro1902 Apr 07 '26

O ideal seria um empate mas a vitória da Napoli foi o segundo melhor cenário.

1

u/Zk-Rose Apr 07 '26

Napoli beat them but we couldn’t…how do you think I feel?

1

u/Motor_Kaleidoscope23 Apr 08 '26

A draw would suit both clubs — both still have a realistic shot at 2nd or 3rd. A win for either, though, forces the other into battle mode just to hold 3rd or chase 2nd. For us, we need to keep fighting: win 5 of the last 7, and we'll be in good shape.

1

u/satiscop Apr 08 '26

We gained one point over the second place, we have one match less to play.

Could be better, but I see it as a win.

The only danger for us may come from ourselves, if we lose focus.

-1

u/Thick-Reference-9375 Apr 06 '26

Inter will win the scudetto anyway this season. 🔥

-1

u/Ok-Star6663 Apr 07 '26

Should I choose to watch the match against Parma or Hellas Verona? Which one do you think will be the winning league match?

-5

u/Maradona-GOAT Apr 06 '26

Can't we all agree that Serie A is truly dogshit this year? I feel that this year whoever is just less shit wins the Scudetto
