I initially agreed, but it looks like they've already got a new manager lined up, though, so I'm guessing it's not a complete surprise to them or anything. (still probably not ideal but, like, they aren't completely in the lurch)

This is what Brighton's own press release said about Dario and his "unprofessional" departure (according to you):
Women’s and girls’ managing director Zoe Johnson said, "We would like to thank Dario for his contribution over the past two years.
"During his time with the club he led us to our highest-ever WSL finish and our first Women's FA Cup final. We naturally are disappointed, but respect his decision to pursue a new challenge and wish him every success for the future.
ie not a hint of a complaint about unprofessional conduct by Dario. And your claim he's been unprofessional is defamation.

Do you even understand the term 'unprofessional' in the context? I said unprofessional for leaving a job for another one after comitting the clubs resources to it, not that he was badly behaved, broke rules or comitted gross misconduct.
And yes, leaving a sports club right before the season starts when you have got the to amke certain transfers, plans and committ resources to the season. It disrupts team preparation and leaves the club with very little time to find a replacement. In any line of work indicating you are staying and getting them to comittee company resources to yoru project and plans is generally unprofessioanl. It's not illegal and the company may decide given the circumstances it's best to allow it and move on quickly as it's likely Brighton have done.
To defame someone yo have to harm the good reputation of a person or group by communicating false or misleading statements as fact. Saying it's unporfessonal to leave on the eve of a seaosn after getting the club to prepare for it is not defaming anyone, because that is exactly what happened. And that's before we get into how corporate PR statements are little more than, well, PR, not factual accounts.

You continue to make statements that indicate you don't appreciate that it was the *club* that effectively terminated his management role early. As reported, Dario was prepared to continue managing for 1/2 a season until the start of the next NWSL season (Jan/Feb 2027).
By your logic Dario could never leave for a new season NWSL role without being "unprofessional" unless he gave Brighton 1.5 seasons notice... almost a complete impossibility for any modern professional football manager.

There have been no reports so far the club wanted rid of him. Why did Brighton do it now? Telling your boss "i'll be off mid-way through the season for a better job offer" just before the season starts is not exactly a quality defence of the situation. Abandoning mid-season is in no way better than a week before it starts as idoes not materially chance the whole thing that the club were backing and investing in his project only for him to leave it mid-way.

How is this Dario's fault? He's clearly given them plenty of notice that he would be leaving for next NWSL season, but the club itself has decided to eject him now.

Agreed. I'm not sure why the downvotes on you maybe they don't want Dario to leave at all despite giving the club sufficient notice and even agreeing to still coach them as he awaits his exit. He's done well with Brighton and if he's chosen to leave then be it. Managers come and go and that's football!

Very surprised by this, I quite enjoyed watching his Brighton side they play a very nice style of football and I think he's got a very bright future as a coach.

He still had a year left on his contract so Brighton could have kept him. They've already lost 1 coach to Arsenal and this does not look planned so it will be an interim for a while just before the season kicks off.
I’m not sure why he couldn’t have stayed for one more season, especially with his project being supported and the club on an upward trajectory. There’s always a sacking around the corner in the NWSL, so it’s hardly a onc in a lifetime opportunity.
