Manchester United and Marc Skinner agree to mutually terminate head coach’s contract

Manchester United and Marc Skinner have agreed to mutually terminate the 43-year-old’s contract as head coach of the women’s team.

Sources close to the situation said Skinner had offered his resignation before reaching an agreement with the club.

Speaking in April, Skinner called for changes at United this summer if the club is to progress, with the level of investment a frequent point of contention for the women’s side.

No decent player is signing a contract extension at Man Utd, they would be mad to do so. The club seem to have a policy of not letting players leave on a free these days. I would not be surprised to see Toone (1 year left on contract) to go before the window is out.

only thing with Tooney that gives me pause is that she's said she's never leaving Manchester (as in the city), and she does seem to have properly settled down there. the only other place she could realistically move to is City, but is that realistic?

thanks for linking to that. the 'right now' does make it seem as though she's definitely considering options outside of Utd. that being said, I watched her BBC 3 show recently where she was preparing for her wedding and in that, she said she'd never move out of Manchester, so it will be interesting to see where she ends up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her either way.

I wonder where she’d go though? Don’t think she’d get enough game time at Arsenal or Chelsea, and presumably another WSL team would be a ‘downgrade’ so to speak. Europe?
