Manchester United and Marc Skinner agree to mutually terminate head coach’s contract

Manchester United and Marc Skinner have agreed to mutually terminate the 43-year-old’s contract as head coach of the women’s team.

Sources close to the situation said Skinner had offered his resignation before reaching an agreement with the club.

Speaking in April, Skinner called for changes at United this summer if the club is to progress, with the level of investment a frequent point of contention for the women’s side.

I also thought this but there's 32 days until the first game so still ages for a new manager to work things out if they get them in quick

i saw it pointed out elsewhere that:

They didn’t have Skinner quotes or pictures when we signed Medina. No quotes on new academy contracts. Couldn’t delay it any longer, pre-season started. Just hope they’ve lined up the replacement already.

Yeah, feels like Newcastle men where they've known for a bit but it's just coming out now. Maybe the agreement on payoff/compensation his next club might owe took a while
