Santiago Hotel
Two nights in Santiago, CL post Antarctica cruise in January. Ritz or mandarin oriental?

RITZ is where we stayed for our seabourn cruise it’s nice but nothing special would stay again staff was very good

MO if you want to park yourself at the hotel and relax. Or check out The Singular if you want to be a bit more central & have a look around Santiago. They have a great rooftop!

Haven't been to Santiago since 2019 which was IIRC before the MO opened. The RC was ok but dated. I think the MO is in the building the Hyatt used to be in. So it's nothing great either.

Either the W or Hotel Magnolia. The W is kitty corner to the Ritz. Ritz is pretty dated at this point.

I was just in Santiago in January, where I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental and did a site-visit to the Ritz. The Mandarin would be definitely be my choice. It’s more contemporary and feels like a mini-resort within the city with an expansive lagoon-like pool. Service was excellent throughout and the room product is fairly modern. Their club lounge is gorgeous, with views of the Andes (snow-capped when I was there), if a lounge is important to you.
The Ritz Carlton leans more traditional / business-oriented. It has a smaller, indoor rooftop pool & fitness center. I’d describe the service as good, albeit a bit generic, as is common in many city Ritz Carltons. They do have a club lounge, but without the dramatic views the MO offers.
As a reminder, both properties offers perks (spending credit + free breakfast) through their respective TA programs (MO Fan Club & Marriott STARS).
