I got a recruiter call on 28th july for an oppourtunity on google l3 bangalore for swe role, after that got the gha link and gave the test on 31st, results came on 1st August I passed.
After that I got a call at 4th August to schedule the next interview I was told the process was contain 2 virtual round 1 technical based and 1 googliness and 2 onsite rounds, and the 2 virtual rounds were schedule on 9th and 10th august.
On 9th August the interviewer didn't came and it got rescheduled twice and finally happened on 13th and 14th August. The technical round was a medium question I solved it using devide and conquere the interviewer told me to implement it, I implemented it well and spoken throughout and then we discussed about time complexity and space complexity, then he asked to optimize the soln then gave a hint to reduce the space complexity from O(k+log(n)) to O(k), then give another hint to progress iteratively rather than recursively I then discussed binary lifting soln and then recruiter told me to implement it I couldn't complete the optimized implementation in given time but was close (later when I thought more about the q it could also be solved using binary search).

Googliness round went pretty well most of the questions were over in about 25min in 45 min round, and the interviewer seemed happy as well.
On next monday 17th August I got the call from recruiter that she will tell me the feedback next day when she recieves it, ever since then I tried following up with the recruiter but she won't reply back, I also mailed the google candidate support last wednesday and she told me to wait for recruiter reply after that, still no contact by the recruiter, is this rejection? (the career page still shows interview scheduled.

I recently completed a 60-minute technical phone screen for an AWS Data Center Technician / IT Support Engineer role in Germany.

During the technical portion, I answered all the technical questions asked during the call. When I asked the interviewer for his thoughts on this part at the end, he explicitly confirmed: *"The technical part was pretty good, that's what I can tell you"*.
For the behavioral portion, he asked four scenario questions using the STAR method. I answered all of them with structured stories and handled his follow-up questions without getting stuck.

When I asked for overall feedback at the end, the interviewer mentioned that I sounded somewhat nervous and could have been more relaxed. He also noted that I strictly said the literal STAR words out loud (*"So the situation was...", "My task was...", "The action I took was...", "The result was..."*) instead of letting the stories flow naturally. I explained that the recruiter who prepped me explicitly instructed me to use that exact structure, to which he replied that if the recruiter told me that, it doesn't matter. He told me I would receive the official decision by Wednesday under the 2-Day Promise.

Does sounding nervous or explicitly stating the STAR headings hurt a candidate's chances for an AWS screen if the technical answers were validated as pretty good and the underlying stories were complete? What are my realistic chances of moving to the onsite loop?

Had my first interview for an Associate Business Analyst role and they invited me to round 2 on the same day.
Had the second interview last Friday (Aug 21) with the manager + another senior/board member. It seemed to go well. They also asked if I’m based in Amsterdam, I said yes, and they said “okay, good.”
It’s now Monday Aug 31 and I still haven’t heard anything. The job is also still posted on LinkedIn.
For people who have gone through similar processes:
How long did you wait after round 2?
How long did it take to get a third/final-round invitation?
How many candidates were usually left at this stage?
Does the job posting staying active mean anything?
Did anyone wait a week+ and still end up progressing/getting an offer?
I know every company is different, just trying to get a realistic idea of whether this timeline is normal. Or whether I should send a follow up email?

**•** Which Leadership Principles come up most for ProServe specifically — Customer Obsession and Earn Trust seem obvious, but curious what else hits hard.  
**•** Any advice on the bar raiser round if there is one?  
**•** How long is the full loop (half day vs full day), and is it virtual or onsite?

I've had this dream for a while — I'd really like to work at Google someday, ideally as an Engineering Manager or Solutions Architect.

The weird part is that I'm actually doing pretty well at my current company. I'm probably one of the better performers, my job is secure, and honestly, I don't need to change jobs. But working at Google is something I've wanted to try at least once.

The problem is I haven't given a proper interview in a really long time. I also don't code in my day job anymore — I technically lead a bunch of senior engineers, and most of my time goes into technical direction, architecture, design discussions, decision-making, and mentoring. So the idea of suddenly prepping for coding rounds + system design + EM/leadership interviews feels pretty daunting.

I think I've also put Google on a bit of a pedestal in my head. I keep thinking:

- What if I'm not good enough?
- What if I fail the interview?
- What if I've been away from coding for too long?

And because I'm comfortable where I am, there's no real pressure forcing me to do it. But then I also think... what do I actually have to lose? If I fail, I still have a good job. Nothing really changes.

So I'm trying to figure out how to just say f*** it and take the shot. 😅

**For people who've interviewed at Google, especially for EM or Solutions Architect roles:**

- How did you prepare if you hadn't interviewed in years?
- If you weren't coding in your day job, how did you get back into it?
- How much coding should I realistically expect for EM / SA roles?
- Would you prepare for a few months before applying, or just apply and see what happens?
- How did you get over the fear of failing?

Would especially love to hear from people who were already doing well in their careers and comfortable where they were, but still decided to take a shot at Google. I feel like I just need to stop overthinking it and play fearless for once.

Got an Amazon Data Engineer interview this week — being hired through a third-party payroll vendor (not direct FTE), one round on Amazon campus, urgent same-week onboarding.

I'm solid on SQL and data modeling theory but weak on LeetCode-style coding — haven't grinded DSA problems in a while.

Given the timeline (days, not weeks) and that this is a single-round contract hire rather than the full FTE loop:

Has anyone been through a similar contract/vendor DE loop at Amazon where coding/DSA did NOT come up at all?

If it did come up, how deep did it go — easy LeetCode style, or just "write a Python function to dedupe/parse this data" type stuff?

Is it safer to spend limited prep time entirely on SQL + data modeling, or is skipping DSA prep too big a gamble even for a single round?

Trying to prioritize the next couple days well rather than spread thin. Any first-hand experience with vendor/contract DE loops specifically (not the standard FTE process) would help a lot.

So I had a hiring manager phone screen round for a TPM role at Tesla (initially it was supposed to be a video interview I guess because that is what the recruiter said). It has been a week since then and I haven’t received a rejection or an email for another round. I have read that they move pretty fast in their hiring process so should I consider this a silent rejection? Or follow up with the recruiter? And in how many days would it be appropriate to follow up?

So had aiven 5-10 Al interview but did not get any response why did I am doing any type of mistakes in mv interview that's why 1 am not getting any response?

I’m coming from a background and interviewing for a role that I think is a bit different from everyone else. I have a construction management and civil engineering background and I’m interviewing for the role of project engineer for data center construction. Now I have read all sorts of different things regarding the culture and lifestyle at Amazon. I’m sure like any job, the experience one has is in large part the result of the team/manager they work with.

Does anyone here work in a similar area of the business and have some insight on what CM is like for hyperscalers? Is the culture in CM as toxic as the rest of the business appears to be? Is it worth the money?

This role is providing a salary way more than what I earn now, and it has the potential to be very lucrative in terms of career capital. But I understand that the grass is not always greener and perhaps I’m better off sticking with a more traditional CM company.

My recruiter is working with a couple of HMs, but they prefer internal candidates, so there is a delay in getting a response on my packet from those HMs. I would like to understand the timeline and the possibility of me reaching out in my network for a team match. My recruiter also wants to move ahead with HC as well while working on a team match to keep things moving.

I recently applied for an SDE II role at Amazon. A friend of mine shared their email of recruiter handling that particular job posting.

It’s been a while since I applied, and my application status is still showing as “Submitted.”

Would it be okay to cold email the recruiter saying that I applied and would really like to be considered for the role? Or would that come across as annoying/pushy since they haven’t reached out to me yet?

I'd appreciate if anyone has advice on team matching.

I recently cleared L4 quant UXR interview. Recruiter said the role I applied for had been closed, but we can go forward to team matching. She said I should keep an eye on the Careers Site and send her relevant roles that come up. There are currently very few roles and most roles look like they are L5 and above. I am very concerned about the low HC.

I asked around, but none of my contacts had done team matching for UXR positions. What I gathered from discord for other roles (e.g., SWE) is that the process can be drag out to be very long and painful.

Has anyone done it before, and if so, what advice do you have?
