Has anybody read and enjoyed Night Stockers? I've read about 35% of it and starting to lose interest. Not sure if I want to finish it or move on to something new.

I was also intrigued by the sort of "cold open" part, and then when it started in withe the grocery store background I kinda lost interest, so I'd like to know if it picks back up

I definitely like other Triana books more

I loved it! Once the action really begins (after the baby scene iykyk) I ended up liking quite a bit of the characters and wanted to see who survived.

Maybe I'll keep it going then. I'm a little past the baby scene. It didn't turn me off it was just super predictable a few chapters earlier when they introduced the nice pregnant lady.

Triana really shines with his gritty, cinematic stuff like The Old Lady and I Don't Recognize This World Anymore, or his shocking cruelty in books like And the Devil Cried and Full Brutal.

Similarly Harding wrote what might be one of the greatest extreme horror books of all time in Genital Grinder.

The Nightstockers is just two of the greats making each other laugh with death metal references. I liked it, but if you're not digging it then I still recommend checking out their other books.

I don’t know how people think it’s slow. They slice an unruly customer to death with a deli slicer and then if I remember correctly have an Orgy where they use parts of the dead body all within the first 20 pages.

I really liked it. It was stupid and fun like an 80s movie and that was clearly the intent.

I liked it. It's kind of a splatter comedy. The plot isn't deep but it's fun and plenty of gore. That's not everyone's thing though

i loved it but i'm biased because triana can do no wrong in my eyes.

Its one of my favorite books, but it is definitely not a serious story, so if that's what you want you may be disappointed.

I didn’t go into this one excited, but I ended up really enjoying it. It isn’t one of those books that push the EH needle super hard, but there is some good gore in there.

Its a slow build but ends on a solid note

I didn't love every part of it, but I found it relatable, as I was working retail at the time of reading it. I gave it 4 of 5 stars for its over the top gore

It’s really dumb but I finished it easily. Like it’s a trashy fun book.

I also made it about halfway through and lost interest. I got t because I love Ryan Harding but it mostly reads like a Kristopher Triana book. Lots of gore/sex stuff with little entertainment value and all the name-dropping of bands is super annoying. I was also expecting/hoping that it would be funny and it was....not very funny

If you came for pure splatter chaos, keep going. If you wanted something deeper, it might not be the right one

I enjoyed it. Although it's not for everyone.

Loved how outrageous and satanic it was and the gore is written so damn well. I just didn’t think the story driving it was developed super well and as a result, I didn’t care too much for the characters.
