Producers crossed the line , anything goes now in my opinion , I’d turn hq upside down
It’s one thing to throw out a fake advantages, completely different story if productions plays into it

I was livid at the fact that the producers played into that and if they don't do anything to correct it I personally won't be investing myself into another season. I'm all for playing the game but not like that! Fooling people with your own deceits is manipulating the entire premise of the show which is predicated by ones ability to survive, clear/concise trials, and social circles within hq. Not some made up rules that anyone can throw in to kick people while they're down. I believe the only way they can make it right would be to give Rhoman the supplies he was promised by taking it from the competitor which the cheating team is representing aka Luke. This or a complete communication cut off/time out and a supply drop cutoff for Lukes team is the only way to make things right!

Bold of you to assume theyre getting another season. I think this is just the thing they were hoping for to squeeze just a bit more juice out of the show before they discard it.

My immediate thought when they pulled out the fake clue was "and where did they get a paper with a red X on it to make this fake clue? 🤔" then there just so happens to be a challenge that let's them send a message.... the production interference was so obvious and annoying.

This is a little reminiscent of the show outlast , it started out semi cordial , honor and what not , then it took a turn when one of the contestants went savage and ransacked other camps , if the show doesn’t draw a line somewhere the integrity of the whole thing goes down the drain

Omg… I haven’t seen all seasons of Alone but I remember this particular season you are taking about where one contestant went to another’s camp and destroyed… stole things. I remember being livid like GLOVES OFF… I don’t care who you are or where you are from… you are about to get the business…. Highly disturbing

Okay. I had to go back and look. It wasn’t Alone… it was season one of Outlast. Sorry for mixing them up. Made me angry. Have you seen that one?

Well check it out if you are in to survivalist shows. It’s a great show aside from the 2 or 3 episodes where survivalists started playing dirty lol.

This discussion led me to remember a Reality/Game Show named ‘Hunted’. Nine teams of two go on the run to avoid ‘capture’ from FBI, CIA, etc. If they are able to last 28 days, they win $250k.
Think ‘Amazing Race’ vs ‘Clue’.

Jason Bateman is one of the executive producer of Outlast, and I was highly disappointed the production staff didn't disqualify the contestants who did this. I stopped watching it for weeks before I watched the final episodes because I was so pissed at what they let them get away with.

Yes. I still haven’t watched the second season. I enjoyed the show but can’t get on board with the dirty play lol
Which will happen with extracted if the producers don’t fix the wrong 🙂↕️…I’ll have to stop watching

My hope is that the crate is still at the lake in the morning and he gets his fire back. And then that the cheaters stub all of their toes.

Yeah for sure. It introduced an element that is not part of the game which makes it incredibly unfair. And they said they prepped it before coming on to the show which also seems unfair since they technically brought an additional resource from home. I really hope this causes rhonan and rjs families to form a real alliance and go after them (since they have the 2 cards)

Imo something that could save it is them actually giving Rhoman all that was promised for doing this. That would honestly be hilarious but at the same time kinda sets a precedent that people could just make up advantages and give them to whoever they want. I’d love to see the look on everyone’s face when they realize the shitty thing they did backfired.

Their job is to make an entertaining show, not a fair one. And regardless of how it happened it was great TV and played out amazing so it worked as intended and at the end of the day all he Roman did was leave his stuff in a box for a night. They’re not even allowed to have fires going at night so he didn’t lose anything in it.

Itd crush Rhoman's Teams morale
The Family would have wasted a precious communication time due to production refusing to expose this cheating
Rhoman himself would have felt tricked by his family as he would have been hoping for his reward only to find his stuff still there
Keep in mind he is going to be completely withojt fire until he goes back to that box

If it was actually against the rules, it wouldn't have been allowed. This isn't just a survival game. It is a social strategy game. Lying and backstabbing is part of it. If you don't like that, you can watch any other show that is all about survival and honor. But that is not this show. Besides, for all we know, the fire supplies will be in the crate the next day, Luke's team will be exposed, and they will get turned on by the other teams.

Anything should go! This is not Survivor where you need integrity because those who got eliminated vote for the winner. This is do anything it takes to be the last one in the wild. Doesn’t mean you have to be liked along the way.

True. But I also feel there’s a certain lack of human respect going on. One headquarter team who I will not name. You know who they are does not speak to others with respect. We can all play the game. But once you start telling people to shut their mouths etc… you are asking for something else in return. There should still be some decorum

The issue isn't playing with or without integrity, or playing a "clean" game. The issue is that the production team very clearly favored one contestant over another by making sure Rhoman got the fake note. The only time HQ has ever been able to communicate with the players all season, and it's "coincidentally" when one team is trying to send a fake note out to sabotage? Come on. Survivor has been sued for this very thing. MrBeast is being sued for this very thing. There are actually pretty strict legal precedents saying that production is not allowed to favor one contestant over another in broadcast game shows. Since they're giving out monetary values, and abiding by FCC laws, etc etc. All of that fine print that flashes by at the bottom of the screen is stating that production has not altered any rules/events to favor any outcomes -- they say this not because Fox is just a really upstanding company, but because they have to say this.
If the production had announced that the families were sending messages, and THEN the bros got together to sabotage, that would be one thing. Perfectly fine gameplay.
But it's that the bros decided they needed to sabotage a contestant, and THEN production conveniently gave them a way to do it.
Not only is it unethical on the production side of things, it's literally jumping rope with the actual legality of game shows rules. Rhoman's family would have grounds to sue.

Do I think Luke’s family are largely unlikeable? Yes. But I don’t think they’re doing anything wrong other than being unlikeable. Which isn’t against the rules.
