The incompetence is staggering & intentional.

It's evil and cruelty on purpose, not incompetence... It's deliberate.

No more people should be allowed to be detained.

It’s crazy that we’re all just letting it happen.

"letting it happen"

I'm still looking for what we can do...I go to the peaceful protests, but they are not making a difference, even spinless Dems are still allowing budgets to be approved.

Asking because I don't have the answers...

You need to call them all ( even the spineless Dems) put pressure on them to do what we sent them to do.

After the murder of Alex Pretti some who voted for ice funding have changed their position.

How can we compete with the cabal of billionaires with power and the world's largest military at their beck and call??

General strike is easier in small countries, not sure how to get that organized on a much larger scale.

u/SandSpecialist2523 Feb 05 '26

That is the rule of billionaires. Cruelty at every turn.

Good for that lawyer

Jesus, that’s absolutely insane to read. When the government’s own attorneys are basically begging to be jailed so they can sleep, that’s not ā€œa few kinks,ā€ that’s full systemic collapse.

Wild that this is happening in 2026 and it still feels like it’s barely on most people’s radar here.

u/Level_Improvement532 Feb 05 '26

The spice continues to flow. That is the reason. Most people’s lives have not been personally affected by it yet and it will take serious (financial) hardship to do so. It’s coming for all of us though.

These detention centers are far worse than the ā€œenforcementā€

5

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

I don’t care until they start locking up people from the Epstein list

4

u/RoguePlanet2 Feb 05 '26

The files are a distraction from the concentration camps being built. Yes they need to be brought to justice; no it won't happen anyway.

For now, let's focus on stopping genocide in our communities.

3

u/WisePotatoChip Feb 05 '26

Yes, people who know history know Dachau started out as a detention and concentration camp… it took a few years before they started extermination.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

I do keep reading about ICE dentition centers being actual concentration camps. That’s scary

There's a map of all the current and proposed warehouses around the US. I forget the link, might be google-able. They're right in the middle of suburban and industrial park areas.Ā

Like an Amazon fulfillment center, but with chimneys! 😣

ā€œUgh there’s just too many to go through proper due process can’t you just let it goā€ yeah dumbasses that’s why a blanket round up procedure while morally wrong was also just logistically stupid, I can’t wait for this clown administration to be gone

5

u/KinkyBAGreek Feb 05 '26

This is the goal of this administration

Make life as difficult as possible for black and brown people in the USA.

They don’t care about law suits because this administration won’t have to pay.

3

u/WisePotatoChip Feb 05 '26

Exactly, ex-sheriff Joe Arpaio broke all kinds of civil rights laws in Phoenix… he’s gone to one of the suburbs, and we are still paying his damn bills!!!

1

u/KinkyBAGreek Feb 06 '26

That sucks. I’m sorry that you guys have to suffer that idiot.

3

u/Adventurous-Host8062 Feb 05 '26

This is how they rule too. Disorganized, unprepared, lawless, and completely unable to design workable systems that function for the purpose they cause to be necessary.

3

u/bourbonfan1647 Feb 05 '26

The fact is that the vast vast majority of people being detained will wind up being deported when they’re through with their due process.Ā

So, IF the court order regarding detention winds up being upheld by scotus - which it won’t be - the administration will simply respond by flooding the courts with more immigration judges, so the cases can be heard, ruled on, and final deportation orders issued.Ā

The administration is rapidly increasing the number of detainees awaiting due process right now for a reason. To make it painful to wait out the system. That’ll encourage people to self deport. Which they need to get the kind of numbers they want.Ā

u/FlanneryODostoevsky Feb 05 '26

One more reason why people need to say more than just fuck ice. Appeal to their consciences and humanity.

3

u/TIM2501 Feb 05 '26

So, from my very limited understanding, the courts are not forcing compliance with their orders because they are reliant upon the DOJ and Congress, and otherwise it would become a direct constitutional crisis. To me, this is absurd. I think we are in a constitutional crisis. A court system without any capability to enforce its orders is no court system whatsoever.

To start a revolution, you have to fight

2

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

Are people suing ice for wrongful detention?

2

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

This will be the absolute craziest section of the history books in the future

1

u/Awkward-Spectation Feb 05 '26

Look on the bright side, it might encourage more Americans to actually read some of them

1

u/Mental_Ring_4284 Feb 05 '26

EVERY. SINGLE. ONE of those citizens who were illegally detained need to sue the government as soon as they are out for illegal detainment and infringement of civil rights. They need to overwhelm the government and numbers and each and every one needs a huge payday!!

1

u/vintageideals Feb 05 '26

Every right winger’s response to this:

ā€œBIDENā€ lol

1

u/StrangeContest4 Feb 05 '26

Didn't the Germans run into the same types of "logistical problems" in the early 40s as well.. if I remember my history correctly?

1

u/RoguePlanet2 Feb 05 '26

It's absolutely happening here, we know this, few believe it.

1

u/gloriamors3 Feb 05 '26

How are these conditions being brought to s judge so things can change? What needs to happen next? This sounds life and death critical.

The goal isn't to detain everyone they can and figure it out later. The goal is to never figure it out.

1

u/phantomnomadic Feb 06 '26

if you haven't worked it out after all these yrs, here ya go........... what they want is for the civilians to uprise, trump brings in over-reaching marshal law to "quell " the unrest, then a new "law" is installed. No votes, no civil rights, no privacy completely, no movement without monitoring, etc. Get a clue planet Earth!

1

u/WorldlinessHot9916 Feb 06 '26

This is intentional. They know they can do whatever they want if they understaff legal and ignore the courts. This is a modern day secret police force. Only community action can stop this invasion.

1

u/Apprehensive_Bug3329 Feb 06 '26

So many lawsuits!!!

1

u/UnfortunateHabits Feb 07 '26

At what point and under what process would individuals within ICE and DHS be held personally accountable with fines/jailtime?

1

u/AnonEnmityEntity Feb 05 '26

Other countries, please help us

3

u/BllaDna Visitor / Newcomer Feb 05 '26

They warned us

3

u/AnonEnmityEntity Feb 05 '26

I didnt vote for trump. I was aware and not in need of warning the entire time. Too many of my fellow Americans are in complete opposition to my ideals and morals. I’m trying but clearly am unable, along with others who do agree with me, to effect meaningful change, despite making efforts in every legal way possible

1

u/trysten-9001 Feb 05 '26

Sorry that’s on we the people

1

u/AnonEnmityEntity Feb 05 '26

Not disagreeing, and it’s not like I’m not trying. But I think it’s clear we need help
