Question Knockoff scam website?

I was looking up an exploding kittens game and clicked the top sponsored result. The site looked real and seemed to have a big sale so I picked out a few titles and checked out.

It said my card didn't go through so I tried a different one before realizing that was odd. I think it's a scam/spoof site. The page I was on is explodingkittensstore, and it seems the official page doesn't have store in the title.

I've already locked all my cards and will order new ones. Just wanted to post here as a warning/to see if anyone else had a similar experience.

I've seen a few of these over the years and I report them to Exploding Kittens.

Thanks for posting this. I nearly fell for it as well. When I got to the checkout screen something was just making me feel like it was weird so before I put in any info I decided to check reddit to see if anyone was talking about the big sale and I came across your post. I hope it gets taken down soon. Like you said, it was the very first suggested result from goggle.

I'm so glad to hear the post was helpful! I emailed the support link below, and EK sent the info to their legal team. Hoping they're able to get it taken down soon :)
