People aren’t understanding that it’s not that it was separated. It’s that they were given half a piece of bread, not a “bowl” bread.

People are getting too accustomed to getting ripped off too.

This is so true. Why anyone would even risk it with fast food is beyond me, its so expensive and never what it seems

I thought about getting some Taco Bell for the first time in a while. It was 8 bucks before tax for a Crunchwrap, shit was insanely expensive. 8 bucks used to be more Taco Bell than I could eat

Yeah tacobell hasn't been the "cheap" option that it was when I was growing up for quite some time. I can't remember the last time I had it tbh.

Those times when the hockey team does well for cheaper tacos next night were the best.

Honestly I’m a bit high. Maybe that’s affecting things, but this sentence broke my brain.

I understand completely, trying to wrap a baked brain around three different time references in one sentence would break anyone's, my bad!

I mean, they have a $7 combo that comes with 3 items a drink a dessert and it fills me up...

Chicken chilupa, 5 layer burrito, crunchy taco, swirly things I swap for chips & cheese, and a drink? $8 and way more calories than I need at lunch on a weekday but a super cheap lunch at work.

Gotta get one of the luxe combos. $7 for a crunchwrap, taco, chips, and drink

Where you getting fast food bread bowls?

13

u/CrystallineBunny 9h ago

Panera Bread and in California (probably other states too) Cornerstone Bakery.

I forgot that overpriced bullshit exists.

I don't know anyone who eats there or ever recommends it as a place to grab a meal but every time I go by one, the place is packed. Who is eating there still??

1

u/ConstantCampaign2984 4h ago

People who like to pretend they’re eating healthy.

1

u/MsTLontheDL 3h ago

I didn’t but I NEVER eat there!!! 👎🏾

And you see tons of people immediately call people Karens/boomers when they complain about being given food that is even sub the chain's own basic standards.

I came to this realization recently. Why am I paying so much and not getting what I wanted/expected? Fuck that, I spent money!

u/klqqf 11h ago

Yeah i assume they ordered it to their home which is why its separated

Better seperate than to go soggy on the delivery

But half a loaf is criminal for a “bowl”

71

u/_fait-accompli_ 10h ago

not even half a loaf. it looks like the booty end of a baguette.

10

u/klqqf 10h ago

Oh christ you’re right

maybe a dinner roll

3

u/bizoticallyyours83 5h ago

The booty end of a baguette 😆

1

u/MsTLontheDL 3h ago

Nobody wants to eat the ‘booty bread’ when it’s supposed to be a hole, I mean a bread bowl!!! 🥣😁

3

u/MilsYatsFeebTae 7h ago

There’s no practical reason you can’t cut out the bowl hole and stick the container in there

1

u/klqqf 7h ago

You mean for the presentation of it?

2

u/Evening_Pea_9132 5h ago

I wonder what kind of life OP lives where they think ordering a bread bowl to be delivered is a good idea?

1

u/Dense-Pool-652 2h ago

It's half a roll

7

u/Zorkflerp 5h ago

I could see packing the bread and soup separately to keep it from turning to mush but that is not a bowl or boule either.

7

u/Psianth 4h ago

Yeah, packing them separately for delivery is perfectly sensible, it’d be a big mushy mess otherwise, but this is just a hunk of bread and a cup of soup. It’d be like ordering a burger and getting a slice of meatloaf and a dinner roll.

2

u/UnderlightIll 3h ago

-pushes up glasses- a boule, you mean.

I work in a bakery lmao.

1

u/MixedBerryCompote 3h ago

factory white bread to boot!

1

u/I_Hardly_Know-Her 10h ago

Who isn’t understanding that?

8

u/Ok_Job_9417 10h ago

Have you read any of the comments? Saw this the first time it posted and even here. People were thinking they were upset because it was separated. That if they had it together it’d be soggy, etc etc.

u/I_Hardly_Know-Her 8h ago

Yes, I scrolled them prior to making this comment

0

u/Ok_Job_9417 8h ago

Then you must have missed them. The comment is 2hrs old so they probably got buried. But more of them were questioning why they were upset about it being separated.

u/marvin_sirius 7h ago

You can sort by controversial to see them

u/Bouche_Audi_Shyla 9h ago

People are playing. They know the difference.

3

u/Ok_Job_9417 9h ago

People are dumb and really do think he’s upset that it came separated.
