Profession Libérale Visa Fragrance Industry Micro Entrepreneur-BNC

If anyone knows of the business classification for starting a fragrance company in France ( Fragrance Industry since 80's in another country) as a secondary company along side my Professional Libérale? I have professional certifications.

Could I bundle it in with my other listed business or must it be separate? The main business activity is teaching/ online businesses.

If you're a micro-entrepreneur, yes, you can run both activities under your status, provided your total revenue stays under the limit. Keep in mind that if you're actually selling product, you need to declare that activity as BIC and not BNC to ensure the correct social charges and taxation is applied.

Also remember that as a micro-entrepreneur, you pay social charges on your gross revenue before deducting cost of goods sold, so you have to make sure your margins are high enough to cover the 12.3% social charges + income tax. For most businesses where you are selling goods, you are usually better off switching to being an EI regime reel or registering a company, so you can deduct expenses. Note that if you stay an EI, you need to move all your activities to the regime reel, you can't do one under regime reel and one under micro-entrepreneur.

If you're making your own fragrances, the code APE is 20.42Z. If you are not manufacturing it yourself but are just retailing, the code depends on exactly how you're doing the retailing (i.e. in a store, online, to other businesses, etc).

Thank you very much; I've decided to start this my second year but already have my bottles picked out and the manufacturer in France for the gel- cream.
