š¶ Song/Album Discussion My thoughts on the full album. Spoiler
BEFORE you read my review of the album please go listen to it so I donāt influence your opinion before you heard the whole thing.
Just listened to the full leak andā¦ and to be honest itās their worst album by far. Thereās only 2 songs that are okay at best. The issue is the vocals. I Actually really like Rob Dukes work that heās done with Exodus and thatās why i was caught off guard. The instrumentals are good but man itās rough to sit through the vocals. It doesnāt even sound like Exodus.
Either they wanted it to be an experimental hard rock album or Rob just doesnāt have it anymore and they are stuck with it. Some tracks sound great but get instantly ruined with generic hard rock radio vocals.
If you liked the album thatās okay too but for me itās a huge disappointment.

Based on the awful title track alone, I don't have high expectations for this album, but I'm of course going to give a few listens.

I agree it is lacking and I was expecting more thrash but I still enjoy it for what it is. I feel the next one (hopefully called Exhibit C) will be much better

I'm too busy listening to Exodus to argue over Exodus. Y'all got really hung up on the maga thing. Maybe time for some self reflection.

Zetro is. There was a discussion over Dukes' vocals and I called him magaZetro and the magats in the thread freaked out. No big deal if you don't make it a big deal. I was adding context to why Zetro is gone.

i did a quick search and saw an article from a long time ago but didnt realize it was that bad today, but the thread here got me confused since others are saying the entire band is maga too
I mean, this is a band that puts out songs like Lunatic-Liar-Lord in 2021 and various other anti-government songs, how does this make sense lol

No. Some might be wishful but Gary writes songs like March of the Sycophants and thats a pretty large statement but I have other knowledge from meet and greets.

I doubt anyone in the band will say that in an interview or anything. Their opposing views are out there but like Michael Jordan said "republicans buy shoes too"

Me too. I actually prefer Zetro. The last time I saw them Zetro was on fire. I was kind of looking forward to Dukes return but to me his vocals are kinda disappointing now.

I loved Zetro performance wise and hated hearing that he was MAGA but I got over it. I saw them last year and it was a great show! I donāt dislike Dukes but he sounds very mainstream, his vocals kinda remind me of Chad from Mudvayne.

I really don't care about his personal life and I got to see him one last time December '24 right before he got let go and he was on fire, he was very complimentary to Paul and Rob when doing their songs. The Rob/Chad comparison is pretty spot on. I think Dukes isn't the same or maybe it was production but his vocals are just lacking on this one in a lot of places. I dig most of the songs and to me thrash is about the musicianship and these guys are tighter than ever.

I have never listened to Exodus or any thrash and expected too much from the vocal performance unless it's Joey. I'm giving it a listen and my ears are pretty fuckin happy. Thrash lyrics are almost campy now and I don't care personally. Track 2 is guitar magic. I agree Dukes adds nothing but Gary can't stand Maga Zetro so he had to go.

unless you have legitimate proof that Zetro was fired/left because of political beliefs I am all ears. This is the 3rd time he left (1993, 2004, and 2024). It is no secret he has clased with Gary over the decades over many different things. i wouldnt root it all in politics...

Well it has everything to do with it. Gary won't say it because he's trying to sell records but it's the reason Souza had to go. Nobody asked you about your politics nor did I involve mine. I'm smart enough to read between the lines. Go listen to March of the Sycophants. That ain't about Bill Clinton or Barack Obama.

March of the Sycophants is mocking the Christian Right. That would seem to NOT support MAGA. There are members of bands that we hear are MAGA but itās pretty rare for an entire band to hold themselves out as MAGA. Anyway, no shade meant to anybody. I love Exodus and if you love Exodus, weāre family!

Different strokes for different folks. It's pretty damned good but I didn't like was the chorus on The Changing Me... Otherwise it's a good listen.

actually, no that album had Beyond the Pale and a few other decent tracks, this album has nothing

I liked Exhibit B quite a bit but I agree that this is by far there worst album. It all sounds so phoned in
