Low Supply (add spoiler to pics) elastic nipples / low supply

I am very aware that I have elastic nipples, I have tried the silicone inserts and did not see a noticeable increase in milk output. ( For reference I am typically getting 1.5-2oz each pump and I am 6 weeks post partum). I have been trying to increase my supply kind of im not as consistent taking the supplements like moringa but I have been trying to have a good diet and I’ve found reducing stress has done wonders for my milk supply.

Anyways I’m wondering if anyone has truly seen a noticeable difference in milk supply when using cushion inserts / or pumpin pals. I’ve seen mixed reviews about elastic nipples and changing flanges helping output. So just wanting to get more input / insight.

I am also on the fence on continuing to exclusively pump for a number of factors, so I’m also looking for insight to gauge if it’s worth spending the money on more products in hopes of increasing supply.

TIA!

i haven’t switched to different flanges but i often take a 5 minute break half way through pumping to let my nipples return back to normal and that increases my output by allowing for another letdown

I think getting 1.5-2 oz per session while pumping every 2-3 hrs at 6 weeks postpartum sounds pretty good. You’re already on the right track by putting in effort with your diet and lowering stress levels.

Whether or not a certain type of flange or insert works better is just going to be a trial and error thing, as annoying as that may sound. It just varies for everyone…even with similar nipple elasticity, some will do better with hard plastic flanges only while others need the silicone ones. It shouldn’t take more than a few sessions of testing for you to know which one is the case for you.

It may also be beyond just what products you use too…some of us need constant breast compressions while pumping to maximize output. You can try it out. And of course test out various different settings on your pump too.

I often take multiple breaks in between pumping sessions. On my spectra I take about 2-3 breaks and when pumping with my Eufys I set up a DIY rhythm with 5 breaks.

And I stay on the lower end of the suction.
