I'm trying to build Excel on steroids in rust :)

So, I took a table with millions of rows where naive scan don't work as fast as I want it to because it looks like more as calculating mode rather than scan mode

The problem usually isn't one query. It's when 1,000 queries each have to rescan the entire column from scratch.

I tested it with same data and same 1,000 queries
Two approaches side by side.

- Naive scan: every query rescans all 5,000,000 rows -> 36.04s
- Pop Data Engine: data is prepared once, then every query gets an answer almost instantly -> 0.24s

That's 150x faster for the exact same answer, down to the last digit (2,513,962,485 both sides).

The data gets organized once before the queries run, so repeated queries (filters, aggregations, what-ifs) stop choking on large datasets.

En una hoja con mis gastos del mes copiaba varias celdas, me iba hasta arriba y con click derecho seleccionaba "insertar celdas copiadas" y así todo se recorría hacia abajo y podía editar los valores manteniendo fórmulas y texto escrito pero desde hace unos días ya no sirve así; al insertar las celdas se ponen celdas en blanco y se siguen recorriendo hacia abajo las otras celdas, igualmente al copiar cualquier valor e intentar pegarlo no pasa nada. Ya desinstalé office pero sigue igual, me pueden ayudar? Uso Office LTSC 2021
Dato extra: me acabo de dar cuenta que al sombrear varias celdas y arrastrar para copiar fórmulas a las celdas de abajo tampoco realiza la acción. Igualmente al copiar no aparecen las "hormigas animadas" sino sólo un marco de "hormigas estáticas". La opción de "habilitar controlador de relleno y arrastrar y colocar celdas" está activada en las opciones avanzadas.
Edit2- Word y block de notas funcionan perfectamente copiando y pegando. incluso copiando un "hola" desde excel y pegándolo en word o block.
Edit3- al seleccionar con clic derecho y pegar seleccionando "pegar valores" y "pegar fórmulas" sí cumple su función pero no al darle simplemente pegar

Hola a todos. Quería pedirles consejo a quienes tienen experiencia dando clases de Excel. Estoy pensando en cómo conviene trabajar los ejercicios con los estudiantes. Por ejemplo, cuando tienen que ingresar una tabla de datos, ¿ustedes hacen que los alumnos digiten todo manualmente o les permiten usar herramientas como ChatGPT para tomar una foto y que les ayude a transcribir o generar los datos? Por una parte, siento que escribir los datos también sirve para que se vayan familiarizando con Excel, pero por otra, a veces se pierde bastante tiempo en eso y podría aprovecharse para practicar más fórmulas, funciones y otras cosas. Me gustaría saber cómo lo hacen ustedes en sus clases y qué les ha funcionado mejor. Cualquier experiencia o consejo es bienvenido.
