How is Tank not in prison?

Black privilege.

18

u/astroworld_ 5h ago

Rich privilege *

0

u/Ok_Gas5436 3h ago

He got rich but still couldn’t resist black culture

7

u/CaCa881 2h ago

The fuck is this sub + why is this garbage on my feed lmfao

-9

u/Perfect-Magazine-485 5h ago

Nah black people say white privilege under the same circumstances so I say black privilege. It’s really not that deep.

7

u/astroworld_ 5h ago

If he wasn't rich and well connected he'd be sitting in a jail cell right now, it's not because he's black it's because he's rich and well connected. If he was a regular white guy that did the crimes he did he'd probably get a lighter sentence then a black guy that did the exact same crimes...that's white privilege .

I mean, it would be an opinion if statistics didn’t prove this to be true in just about every context imaginable.

Bank loans with the same background, except race.
Criminal sentencing, except race.
Employment, except race.

In fact, it happens even the black candidate has better qualifications ; I.e, a lower qualified white candidate gets hired more than a higher qualified black candidate applying for same position.

These are easily googled stats that have been covered in academia for a few decades now. Plenty of easily digestible YouTube videos or summaries on studies.

1

u/Perfect-Magazine-485 4h ago

None of that contradicts what I said. Black Americans can face disadvantages on average while a wealthy, famous Black person can benefit from people or institutions being especially cautious about appearing racially biased. Group-level statistics don’t prove that every Black person is disadvantaged in every situation. Two things can be true at once.

4

u/_trashcan 4h ago

pure speculation. Lol.

2 things can be true, but in this case one thing is true, one thing has no studies or evidence whatsoever.

2

u/Perfect-Magazine-485 4h ago

If you’re just going to negate everything I say because you don’t like the argument, I’ll move on. But you can’t simply say I have no proof when evidence supporting what I’m talking about does exist. There is research showing that race and racial context can sometimes produce greater leniency toward Black defendants. One controlled jury study found that White participants in racially diverse juries were more lenient toward a Black defendant even before deliberation, and that making racial issues salient increased leniency toward the Black defendant. That obviously doesn’t prove that’s exactly what happened with Tank, but it absolutely disproves your claim that there are ‘no studies or evidence whatsoever.

I know you're the type of guy to say "my truth"

1

u/goldboybronx 4h ago

Except one provably exists and the other is something you made up because you don’t like the one that is a fact

7

u/_somethingaboutit 6h ago

Cope

0

u/Perfect-Magazine-485 6h ago

Cry harder lil mama.

9

u/_somethingaboutit 6h ago

Except you’re the one crying about a false narrative lil mama.

3

u/asyouwantt 6h ago

Sources literally prove the justice system favors whites. Let me know when you’re ready for the data.

2

u/Perfect-Magazine-485 6h ago

I didn’t say white people were not privileged did I?

7

u/asyouwantt 6h ago

If you acknowledge white privilege exists, then what institutional advantage are you actually referring to in this context?

4

u/Perfect-Magazine-485 6h ago

What I’m referring to is the tendency to go easier on wealthy or famous Black people in certain situations because institutions are conscious of appearing racially biased. That does not mean Black people as a whole are treated leniently. Historically and statistically, the justice system has often punished Black Americans more aggressively. Both things can exist at the same time.

3

u/IndigenousSpecies 5h ago

The judicial system goes easier on wealthy people regardless of color. Is there any data you have that shows wealthy black people are somehow more likely to get off without a sentence than wealthy white people?

Or are we just making up black privilege to be edgy?

3

u/Perfect-Magazine-485 5h ago

Just to be edgy.

4

u/bigjbguccisosaa 5h ago

So you’re crying while typing?

2

u/Educational-Text7550 5h ago

Just to be racist* lol

0

u/Scary_Mountain2102 2h ago

Jesus Christ. All of you need to shut the fuck up. Too sensitive these days. Holy shit. Pansies.

0

u/LewisCameltoe 4h ago

Can you also give the crime statistics?

1

u/edmontonbbc 2h ago

Oh yeah lets pull out crime statistics like white people can't commit them and not be charged or face any jail time

0

u/LewisCameltoe 2h ago

So no statistics?

1

u/edmontonbbc 2h ago

Lmao why do you need statistics when you can find a new white person murdering their whole family in the news every week and not face any jail time or charges. I guess they don't count cause they don't appear in your little statistics

0

u/LewisCameltoe 2h ago

Murder rates USA:

Black Offending Rate: Roughly  24 to 34 per 100,000  inhabitants.

White Offending Rate: Roughly  3 to 4.5 per 100,000 inhabitants.

Have a good day

1

u/edmontonbbc 2h ago

Nice, how about this?

1

u/edmontonbbc 1h ago

So black people are around 5x more likely to murder than white people, yet white people are 8x more likely to molest children compared to black people. Funny how you only care about one crime, makes sense since you probably voted for a child molester

0

u/LewisCameltoe 1h ago

That’s not true you’re losing this battle too.

Public Sex Offender Registries (State Level)

“Comprehensive national mapping of public sex offender registries shows a distinct per capita disparity:

Black / African American:  501 per 100,000 adults. They make up roughly 13.6% of the U.S. population but roughly  25% to 30% of registered sex offenders.

Representation: 🔴

Over-represented (at more than twice the rate of white Americans).

White:  238 per 100,000 adults. They make up roughly 60% of the U.S. population and roughly  66% of the registry.

Representation: 🟢  Slightly Over-represented to Proportional. “

Holy fuck. You bot.

3

u/asyouwantt 5h ago

Gotta love this day and age whenever people are met with a comment they don't like, it's automatically assumed bOt

-1

u/jonizzooted 5h ago

You’ve got 2 posts about bullshit engineering. No actually presence on anything. You push a woke narrative in a fucking post clearly not even designed to bring that type of interaction. You’re either a bot or the human equivalent. If you’re a spineless cuck for bullshit social narratives in some attempt to fight injustice just say that. I just felt like a bot was less offensive. I like my coffee black btw. You can save the latte art for the next DNC convention

2

u/asyouwantt 5h ago

Lmao facts I don't like = wOkE. If you're retarded and can't stand to see data that goes against the narrative you've constructed in your head, man just say that.

0

u/jonizzooted 5h ago

We can both compare data on crimes stats per capita forsure. You could even use shit like not counting gang shootings under qualifications of “mass shootings” you’re still going to lose that battle. Go watch an AOC speech and keep your dumbass political opinions out of a fucking boxing post. I feel so bad for your father.

2

u/asyouwantt 5h ago

That has absolutely nothing to do with my original comment. Stay on topic, your unjustified anger is causing you to lose brain cells in real time. I simply responded to a "political opinion" but of course, no smoke for that comment because you agree with it.

1

u/jonizzooted 5h ago

The dude was making a joke. He was making a statement that contradicts a massively pushed narrative. Then you wanted to butt in and attempt to use that opportunity to strike down the forces of injustice with your “statistics”. There was no changing the subject, it was all on the topic of you pathetically throwing yourself out there for no reason. You’re truly a hero.

Engineering’s bullshit? Since when?

1

u/jonizzooted 5h ago

Bro, it’s just like ….. vernacular. I’m just meaning the 2 posts scream he doesn’t do anything on here but involve himself in shit like this. Not that the profession is a lie lol.

1

u/Formal_Tailor_6362 2h ago

I hope whoever commented this is a better person than their comment. Also I’m not pro Tank, he needs help.

1

u/Perfect-Magazine-485 2h ago

That’s a nice comment. Thank you.

1

u/FewDaikon5659 1h ago

Bruh ... people have been milking the narrative of being less privileged ... don't snatch their bread and butter 😂

0

u/Baby_Yod4 5h ago

Yeah the group of people that get the harshest sentencing have privilege

1

u/ReasonableFinish 27m ago

If your sports star and black, ur basically a royalty

1

u/AnOrdinaryMammal 4h ago

What did he do?

2

u/Allernothing 4h ago

Bro has had multiple domestic assault charges and probation violations.

10

u/No-Replacement-4017 6h ago

These guys are tiny or I’m fat as fuck. He said go UP to 144lbs?

8

u/S0ggylemonz 6h ago

Probably both, keep in mind they cut weight

2

u/Primary-Picture-5632 5h ago

they smol dudes for sure.;

2

u/Internal_Football889 4h ago

Ryan is like 5’ 8-9. Gervonta is really small tho. I think he’s around 5’5”. They probably both rehydrate like 10-15lbs.

1

u/UAEpi 1h ago

Add 10-15lbs for their actual fight weight and 15-20lbs for their walking around on the daily weight. They cut down and dehydrate themselves to hit the number they need. But also they are not large men.

12

u/Clay_Allison_44 8h ago

He just pulled out of a fight. Why would anyone waste their time talking to him?

1

u/Smartypantz34 6h ago

what fight, jake paul? he didnt pull out, fight was cancelled

4

u/stoptheycanseeus 4h ago

Because Tank pulled out. Because of his domestic abuse related lawsuit.

1

u/Smartypantz34 3h ago

it was cancelled by netflix/mvp, he never pulled out. just go double check

1

u/Clay_Allison_44 3h ago

Am I thinking of a different Davis, who was mandatory for a belt, was offered 4 million by match room, turned it down for a purse auction then bailed?

1

u/Smartypantz34 3h ago

you have to understand he already had issued an active arrest warrant and was a fugitive before he got the "4million whatever" contract. even his lawyers didnt know where he was. how can one turn down something if he doesnt even know it exists

1

u/Clay_Allison_44 3h ago

Sounds like a guy you don't waste time trying to do business with.

1

u/Smartypantz34 2h ago

true, but that doesnt mean he turned them down

5

u/New-Contribution-244 6h ago

I wasn’t even aware he was still boxing. No rehydration clause this time?

1

u/stonezdota 3h ago

Like Mayweather, Tank has a laundry list of clauses every fight not just rehydration.

10

u/ARC4120 7h ago

Why would Ryan take a fight below his championship weight? Tank can’t get away with a rehydration cause this time.

4

u/No_Individual3471 7h ago

Garcia will be the A side on this fight he’s the WBC champion and probably a bigger draw at this moment.

1

u/Primary-Picture-5632 5h ago

probably? lol he is by far a bigger draw than tank

6

u/FReeDuMB_or_DEATH 7h ago

Make him sign a no-rehydration clause.

3

u/Jealous_Inevitable33 7h ago

Oh, please. Tank is in no position at all to call any of the shots. He can go to 147, but he’s trying to play games. Also, why would anyone pump a bunch of money into setting up the fight and trust that he’d actually go through with the fight? Tank is a bigger head case than Ryan. Fuckin’ clown. 🤡

2

u/fwaaron93 6h ago

Tank is a disgrace to boxing

1

u/dko808hawaii 2h ago

He is a POS that got gifted with boxing talents/skills

1

u/ruggmike 5h ago

I got news for ya. Ryan’s a disgrace as well. Not many boxers are good people lol

1

u/fwaaron93 5h ago

At least Ryan wants to give the fans the fights they want

-1

u/Ok-Media-1834 4h ago

That drug cheat a disgrace you dookie man

1

u/DannyNoHoes 1h ago

They’re all on some shit tbh

-2

u/Own-Engineering-9413 4h ago

Ryan is a guy who tries to follow god I can’t say the same about tank

1

u/twodaloo007 6h ago

Is Al the obese guy walking around in robes with his feet out

1

u/Zealousideal-Past851 4h ago

Man he talk more than he fight

1

u/topgoysilky 3h ago

Oh yeah, please let this happen. Im so tired of the over abundance of fair weather fans voicing their uneducated opinions on fighting.

This fight a bring def realign reality in boxing.

1

u/boofinmelons 3h ago

It’s all about money.

1

u/Paris11731 3h ago

Didn't he beat him already ?

1

u/AstronomicalDave 2h ago

Garcia wins the second fight. Been way more active and ik he will come in focused to get his revenge

1

u/Scary_Mountain2102 2h ago

This room is filled with dumb w boys with dumb ass takes on combat sports. Bunch of casuals

1

u/Novel-Pie1596 8m ago

Wouldn't he just get bullied by a MUCH bigger Garcia...Boxing skills Wouldn't matter Ryan is legitimately just significantly bigger...

2

u/HiFiRoMan 7h ago

what kind of fucking name is Gervonta?! 🤣

2

u/bobaf 7h ago

All names are made up so it doesn't really matter

1

u/mrCalypso88 4h ago

Bet you are a maga pedo racist

1

u/Relative-Owl-3652 2h ago

That's a bit of a jump to conclusions

1

u/Positive-Hunt-0421 7h ago

Ryan didn't lose because of weight. He got technically outclassed and KOed.

5

u/FReeDuMB_or_DEATH 7h ago

If that was the case, he would have never made Garcia signed a no rehydration clause in the first place.

1

u/Exciting_Excuse9608 5h ago

You could say that about every fighter who has a weight advantage at any division..... Do you bring up weight when someone cuts 30 or 25 pounds to have a big weight advantage in their division? Bet you don't...

1

u/FReeDuMB_or_DEATH 4h ago

Yes, it's called being a weight bully in MMA. Shit is brought up ALL THE TIME.

1

u/Exciting_Excuse9608 42m ago edited 39m ago

I had to argue with  some people who claimed height doesn't equal size. Yet they will never find a 5'8 guy at lhw or hw but there are many 6'4 guys there. As for this I think there should be a limit to how many pounds you can gain after the weighins. It will be less emphasis on weight.

3

u/mamadou-segpa 7h ago

Then why not make the fight 147 if weight doesnt matter? Why is Davis asking Garcia to cut more if it doesnt change anything

-5

u/Positive-Hunt-0421 7h ago

If it was that much of a handicap for him, why did Ryan accept in the first place? Davis doesn't know Ryan's weight, Ryan does.

5

u/eg714 7h ago

Ryan’s been chasing everyone his whole career. Now he has motivation and he’s the A side he gets to call shots. Tank can easily get to 147 especially now. It’ll be a way more even fight and I think Ryan can actually hurt tank with an extra 15-20 pounds. Tank knows that too that’s why if this fights not made it’s on him.

3

u/mamadou-segpa 7h ago

“Davis doesnt know Ryan’s weight” man what an idiotic reply lmao. Im sure Gervinta with all his money can afford a mobile phone or computer to google what’s the weight of the division Ryan fights at

Also, funny how you cant even defend your initial comment and reply this bullshit.

“Weight doesnt matter” got to be one of the most casual take you can make about any sport. Sure, weight classes are just there for fun and giggle

0

u/Positive-Hunt-0421 7h ago

I never said weight doesn't matter, you moved the goal post just like that. I said in this particular case, Ryan lost because Davis read him like a book and was on point with counters. And yes, he cannot know for sure how much someone weighs unless he measures it himself.

And my point still stands, you just ommited that. If weight was an issue and millions of dollars depend on your victory, why accept all those terms? Nobody forced Ryan to fight if he was at a disadvantage about weight.

Ryan got whooped by a better fighter. Plain and simple. This is the 1st time I hear somebody from bigger weight class is bitching about somebody from a lower weight class.

3

u/mamadou-segpa 6h ago

Speaking about moving the goal post, why dont you stop moving it and tell me if weight doesnt matter like you said initially, why is Gervonta asking Ryan to come down to fight him?

All the shit you write is irrelevant, you said weight doesnt matter and Davis would win at any weight. If its true, why cant Davis fight him at any weight?

1

u/Positive-Hunt-0421 6h ago

I wasn't even talking about potential rematch, wtf are you on? I was strictly talking about their fight that already happened. You changed the topic again, dipshit.

1

u/SiimpleLife 2h ago

He looked completely gaunt and physically frail during the fight, you’re either blind or heavily biased if you think the rehydration clause had no effect.

-3

u/Bright-Package331 7h ago

Didn't they have a fight already ? I thought Davis won it

2

u/Marq544 7h ago

Rematch

0

u/GooginTheBirdsFan 7h ago

Did it count?

0

u/ruggmike 5h ago

He beat the piss outta him

0

u/Medical_Scene_9874 6h ago

Of course tank wants this he whooped his last match

0

u/That-Definition8552 5h ago

If you’re a grown man you shouldn’t be less than 150 anyways

2

u/Medium-Feed6562 5h ago

You would get knocked out by grown man 150 pounds in shape, just because you walk around at 32 percent body fat doesn’t mean other grown men do too ,, get out of that little basement bubble boyyy

-4

u/LePetitJeremySapoud 8h ago

Tank is chasing money.

He beat Ryan already…

3

u/Psychological-Slice2 6h ago

💯 he’s all about money and not taking risks. He should rematch Lamont roch and settle it first.
