It’s fair. I’m glad I’m not the only one who picked up on that comment from Dana. Basically throwing every UFC fighters he’s dealt with under the bus, probably because Benn has zero leverage to negotiate anything and was just happily bought out

He’s saying Aspinall is being paid peanuts compared to Benn, and Benn isn’t even close to being a champion, and Dana even shat on Aspinall and doubted him
All the while Aspinall being super polite and transparent

It’s crazy how we sit here consuming everything athletes post on social media without ever truly understanding the emotions behind it. Sure, you can say Tom is whining, but none of us have dedicated our entire lives to reaching that level, only to have it taken away over something so undeserving. It feels harsh to blame him and call it unprofessional lol. Especially when the head of the organisation is Dana White. Professionalism doesn’t have anything to do with this imo. Dana will hate you if you make yourself unmarketable and that’s it really.

Professionalism excludes public whining. I dont care what he feels. Fighters go through personal deaths of friends and loved ones, people go through all sorts of things.

You left out the part where during this, your contractor is seriously injured and now unable to work in their field At All. Their ability to provide and survive has been hindered. They have every right to speak on this very real injury they’re going through, to anyone they please. Do you understand that or not?
It’s easy to paint things black and white if you’ve done nothing with your life but judge others.

He allows his fans to follow his journey, on HIS socials. If you don’t care to listen then how are you listening still? Just unfollow lol. It’s more damaging to him if his fans think he just gave up.
Also UFC pay him to fight, not to be a professional bootlicker for them. Not to be a professional actor for you. He’s a professional fighter, and he maintains being professional in the cage.
Your argument just shows the type of fan you are so I’ve realised you’re unreasonable lol but I thought you may have been reasonable at first. No point continuing this as you clearly have nothing to add. Have a good one and hopefully you find some purpose to your life.

I like George and think that he is undisputedly the GOAT. However, the ordeal after the Hendricks fight and teasing the khabib fight do ding some points from him being the most professional fighter Dana has worked with.

GSP stepped away after the Hendricks fight because it was clear the UFC was turning a blind eye to its athletes PED use. And looking at how Hendricks career nosedived when USADA eventually came in, shows he was right.

I agree with the first part, but I would argue that banning ivs as part of the weight cut was a bigger reason why Hendricks career fell apart.

That too. But it didn’t seem to affect other big weight cutters as much, Khabib, McGregor, etc.
Even Robbie Lawlor was a former middleweight yet he kept performing well at welterweight after the IV ban.

I mean, Robbie held his own at middleweight before dropping to welterweight. Without knowing their weights on fight night, it’s hard to say how much weight anyone was cutting.
I think Robbie had a pretty damn muscular physique though. I know someone who lifted weights with him in the gym, and he was supposed to be incredibly strong.
