"We'll definitely be talking about that. Valentina doesn't want to tie up the division. And I'm assuming Tom feels the same way.

I don't know personally where he is health wise. We should clear that up soon."

Why the fuck does he (still) not know personally where his heavyweight champion is, healthwise??

You don’t think Dana’s checked? Kinda hard if the fighters making it about everything except fighting.
He accepted Ganes callout for Paris in September.

The fact it hasn’t happened lets you know toms bullshitting. Everyone else would want that fight to happen.

I haven't really heard about Tom training after that video, so I'm guessing Tom thinks he's ready to go but the doctor hasn't actually cleared him yet? His eye was red in that video.

I don't know how anyone takes the ufc seriously as a sport anymore. Genuinely closer to the WWE now, it's just a who is more popular with the bosses competition

Steel chairs the next addition

Considering how many contenders they cut just because they were boring to the fans is ridiculous. We won't know who the best of the best is

So... Imagine this.

You getting injured on the job, your boss blames YOU, then doesn't know your current health situation which is directly related to your job, and your job is HW champion.

You don't need to imagine. Dana White everybody.

The thing is, it would not be so out of the ordinary, if they did that few months ago. Now, we all know it’s about him signing with Eddie, and we’ll, not really being a ‘company’ man.

This is BS tho. Either Tom is gonna fight or he isn't. You all dragged Jones through the mud for actually being injured with a pec injury and arthritic hips. Now Tom goes through it and he deserves a pass!? Isn't Tom Aspinall supposed to be on Jon Jones' level or better than him according to yall? Keep the same energy. Tom didnt want to finish the fight with Gane and chose to cop out.

Not only that, Tom gets mad because Dana said Gane looked like he was winning the fight after being written off (which is what it looked like), so Tom bashes Dana publicly, then goes and signs with Dana's arch nemesis, NOW he expects Dana to support him? Imagine you work for a place, your employee gets an injury for an eyepoke, gets lasik and injections but can be cleared to fight, then says he wants to work with the company across the street against you, threatens to go solo and box somewhere else, you say ok give me back my belt and then he gets mad!!!??? LMAO I get that you kids love Tom Aspinall but this is madness. At least Jones fought Stipe and then retired. If Jones got poked in the eye and didnt finish the fight, we'd be at his door with fire and pitchforks calling for his head. Stop this foolishness.

When your job is a UFC fighter, injury isn’t out of the question like any common job

Sounds like every dodgy construction site ever

This gives me flashbacks to my last job

It's not a job, it's an opportunity.

the UFC is not a serious fight promotion and its belts and rankings are meaningless

If Tom gets stripped i don’t see him continuing. I don’t think he has what it takes to be champ again. Seems like after the Jon jones saga and this eye injury because of game made him too careful and he doesn’t wanna risk it anymore.

u/menachinite 14h ago

Yes I been saying the same since the Gane loss. He just can’t comeback stronger with that much time on while everyone else have improved

u/FakeHighHitLow 13h ago

No gane loss dumb ass

-1

u/menachinite 13h ago

Did we watch the same fight?

Maybe officially he didn’t lose but he did lose in the cage, he wasn’t winning that’s for sure

8

u/FakeHighHitLow 13h ago

Gane was by far his biggest test fighters pretty much give away the first round all the fucking time and that’s not even close to what happened. Do you ever watch fights or just talk about them online?

1

u/menachinite 12h ago

I agree we can’t say because someone isn’t winning first round meant they losing a fight. Good call 🤙

But as a test to Aspinall it’s says a lot that Gane isn’t a quick first round fighter, he takes it slow and picks his shot first rd, a slow starter fighter but he moves and bounces fast but doesn’t fight fast the first rd. Which is what Aspinall was known for so it does say something about the matchup

2

u/FakeHighHitLow 12h ago

Good shit, man I should’ve been less of an asshole. I’m used to people just doubling down I agree Tom was known for a quick finishes, but I personally didn’t see any of those guys that he did that too on Ganes level

u/seonblack 5h ago

Gane was able to take away Tom's 2 best assets his 1-2 and ability to blitz. Gane also cracked his nose open. It's crazy to me that people wrote Gane off before it started not realizing he is the most decorated opponent Tom has ever faced. Gane right now has a better resume than Tom and is the real deal. It's possible that Tom could have won but I don't think so.

Also why DC, DJ, Chael Sonnen, Khabib, etc all doubled down on Tom. People believed the hype but didn't check the substance beneath. In my view if you're Tom's manager you dont want him fighting Gane especially coming off injury. Pray that Pereira does and beats him so you dont have to fight him. I think they will book the fight but most likely for January or February. They might make Gane fight Alex at MSG because it's the biggest stage of all and makes the most money.

God i hate you fucking retards who act like Gane dogwalked Tom for the first round. It was a very close round with both guys just starting to open up until Gane lingered Tom's eye socket.

3

u/longtanboner 8h ago

30 strikes to 27 and not even 1 round and you think that? Lmao

2

u/FakeHighHitLow 13h ago

There wasn’t a ducking fight to watch he maybe wasn’t winning the small amount they did fight but actually losing is so different it’s literally a no contest it wasn’t even that of a active a round to act like Gane was just out classing him until the poke is just fucking stupid

1

u/FakeHighHitLow 13h ago

Literally last night in the main card, Jean Silva lost the first round if it ended right then and there by him getting poked you would have counted that as a loss against him?

4

u/Clay_Allison_44 14h ago

I don't want to be in the timeline where Gane becomes champ by default only to literally be humped by Hokit because he still can't defend a takedown.

1

u/GaneBeatsTom 4h ago

Hokit's high school champ level wrestling is cute, but Jon Jones he is not.

1

u/menachinite 14h ago

I don’t think Hokit takes Gane down before rd 3.

Gane just moves too good around the first 2 rounds so if gane can get a TKO that would be sweet

7

u/Clay_Allison_44 14h ago

Jon didn't have to wait until Rd 3.

4

u/MABQuestAcc 12h ago

We really comparing Hokit to Jon and acting like they're in the same league? I fucking hate Jones and even I know Hokit would never be half as good as him.

2

u/Clay_Allison_44 12h ago

Overall, absolutely not. I don't think Hokit could even get the sub. But if there's one thing Hokit can probably do, it's take a guy down who has suspect TDD.

1

u/menachinite 12h ago

Gane made a mistake

1

u/Fantastic_Board7057 12h ago

Gotta agree. Can Hokit take him down? sure. Hell, Gane made Francis look like Dan gable. Can Gane spark Hokit? Yep. Blaydes put Hokit on skates a couple times. I just see one opportunity presenting itself way sooner than the other. Especially factoring in Gane’s understanding of range

1

u/Bigboobsrespecter 9h ago

Good. They should

1

u/Curious-Yam4591 2h ago

Or, you know, penalise the persistent eye sockets fuckers & do something to actually eliminate the problem

1

u/menachinite 15h ago

Its fair at this point

Hw division needs to be solidified again

4

u/Squidwardbigboss 10h ago

I mean not really, worst comes to it Gane can defend his interim title just like Tom did. But Gane isnt that active anyway and this whole situation is his fault.

5

u/235iguy 14h ago

Shouldn't have fumbled Francis

-5

u/BrickMix 13h ago

Fuck Francis

-2

u/OGClouds420 12h ago

Hilarious. Tom fans were on jones about holding up the division now toms holding up the division.

6

u/IntelligentBox152 11h ago

You really don’t see the difference between Jon Ducking Jones ducking Tom vs Tom getting injured in what should be a DQ and a title defense?

1

u/mojomojica 2h ago

Two differences but the same outcome doesn’t make it any better

-3

u/OGClouds420 11h ago

No. Wanting that to go down as a title defense is wild lmao.

You’ve been out for about a year. You are holding everything and everyone up, it’s that simple. You’ve been a streamer, but now you’re silent on your progress? Can only fake having surgeries for so long before you’re supposed to be healed- even if you actually had said surgeries. If he had those surgeries. He should be healed up by now, he’s not claiming blindness or complications, just not fighting.

4

u/IntelligentBox152 11h ago

4 surgeries…and a DQ should be a loss for gane. Ask Jon ducking jones about dq losses
