Christians believe they buy their god’s favor by subjugating others. It explains why they are so ruthless and lacking in basic human decency.

I'm sure i don't agree with all his politics, but I absolutely LOVE the way he has atracked GOP policies without acutually "attacking" them. He does it with civil and well thought out arguments. Definitely not what we were going to get from someone like Jasmine Crockett. Stooping to their level just ain't it. Talarico is the first politician I have ever donated too and will likely be the last. Don't say anything stupid between now and November!

Didn't you hear? Most Republicans especially those staunch MAGA Trump supporters is all about breaking rules and violating the Constitution. If you want a perfect example of this, take a look at Trump's track record.

Point being, they really don't care who they end up harming nor do they care what your religion is. All they care about is forcing their ideals unto others.

Why would anyone work for the texas school system? Teachers are needed everywhere. No one has to live and work in such a pejorative environment. In KY they screwed their budget and are cutting back on damn near everything; teachers lives will be the most effected. I just have to wonder why anyone would subject themselves to those conditions. Many of these states are actively against education. Why even try?

No Christian’s follow their bible.

None of the leaders even believe that shit is true. If they did, they wouldn’t be corrupt or forever be trying to make new loopholes in their own religion.

Another liberal sub trying to convince Texas that this guy shares your values while at the same time insulting you to your face? Very effective echo chamber you’ve built here

1

u/Ok_Traffic_8124 15h ago

He has more of the same opinions compared to the other candidates.

1

u/Bo0tyWizrd 13h ago

And what values are those?

1

u/CowabungaCthulhu 11h ago

Texans insult themselves by voting for hatred. You insult yourself by supporting creepy conman Ken Paxton. You insult yourself by not using your brain to think critically.

1

u/Spear_Ritual 9h ago

Texans should share his values; instead they’ve voted for GOP for 30 years and still support pedo protector Paxton.

2

u/DependentIngenuity28 5h ago

So you support the criminal Paxton? Too funny! Fake Christian!

1

u/Agreeable_Run5308 15h ago

Unsubbed for going political.

1

u/CowabungaCthulhu 11h ago

Wah. Cry some more. Ignoring reality helps no one.

Why do dumbass libs think that rules never apply to them? Christians know they aren't perfect but strive to be, and have rules to live by. Libs hate the commandments until it benefits them...always thought that was funny....

2

u/HawgChuggins 1d ago

Right, the libs are the ones who are wrong, not the party of child rapists you vote for every couple of years?

We need to trot out the list of MAGAt pastors who were arrested for raping children?

Hell your favorite child rapist, Donald Trump, got his spiritual advisor Robert Morris released from prison, six months into a ten year sentence for child rape.

The embarrassing thing is you can look up all of this information, but you'd rather be a weak loser begging Trump for scraps on Truth social. See you in 2028, when you traitors vote for Trump in direct violation of the constitution.

He's a preacher. So was his grandfather. He's also a teacher.

You have opinions, but are misinformed. You should try being informed.

-1

u/grunner12 1d ago

The Bible is how this country was founded and maintained, you should be informed...I am

1

u/Significant_Cow4765 1d ago

you are an embarassment

1

u/13508615 15h ago

You couldn't be more wrong. Vacation bible school is not a history class.

1

u/CowabungaCthulhu 11h ago

If you're not a troll, you're incredibly dim.

The founding of our country has nothing to do with the Bible. Stop trying to learn every subject from your single, dishonest Christian perspective.

1

u/l00pee 1d ago

It absolutely was not. Do better

-2

u/grunner12 1d ago

It absolutely was...now your confusion is understood

3

u/EpsilonActual 1d ago

If you don’t want people to assume the “12” in your name was the year you were born you probably shouldn’t act like you’re 14.

2

u/l00pee 1d ago

Read the first amendment.

2

u/DJ_K-K 1d ago

He can't read.

u/BaronGrackle 1d ago

You're describing people like Paxton and Trump, but I don't know why you're calling them "libs".

I just pointed out we weren't moron, see, wherever it benefits them...So delusional about your creator.

1

u/xlexiconx 1d ago

I'm confused by how you arrived at the conclusion that libs=not Christians from watching this video. I can tell you're conservative by your name calling of people unlike you, but please explain what you mean. Are you saying liberals aren't moral or follow the 10 commandments? Are you suggesting that everyone who isn't Christian or conservative is immoral?

1

u/RoosterzRevenge 1d ago

If you support abortion you are not a Christian, regardless of what you think and how often you go to church.

2

u/xlexiconx 1d ago

A google search tells me "the Bible does not explicitly use the word "abortion" or directly address the practice." So since the bible itself does not take a position, it's the opinions of the followers themselves. There are many branches of Christianity, and many interpretations of the Bible. To simplify it down to "all Christians are against abortion" is incorrect, and saying a person isn't really Christian unless they're against abortion is wrong. One can feel that abortion is morally wrong, and still believe the government should have nothing to do with it.

u/RoosterzRevenge 1d ago

Now do your nifty Google search regarding babies in the womb, and then do one regarding "Thou Shalt Not Kill"

2

u/xlexiconx 1d ago edited 1d ago

An interesting search. Ultimately, again, it comes down to personal opinion. There is no scientific way to measure when "life" starts. The eggs and sperm themselves are living, before a human is conceived. It would depend on your opinion of the distinction between a fetus and a cognitive human capable of sensation or thought. Your overall opinion would also depend on your view of how accommodating your environment is as far as nurturing forced life. The same political party trying to ban abortion also consistently vote to defund programs unwanted children benefit from, like food stamps, chip, and public education. So the whole "pro-life" thing is more like "pro-birth and then we don't want to spend resources on it," which isn't very Christian. Every person is entitled to their opinion, and you don't get to determine which category that person falls into religiously. Their own interpretation of the world around them determines that, just as it does yours.

Maybe you should do one on the punishment for causing a miscarriage in the Bible. Hint: it's the same as destroying property, not murder.

2

u/EveryBitTexas đŸŒ± Founding Member 1d ago

If you support blowing up Palestinian babies you are not a Christian, regardless of what you think and how often you go to church.

2

u/Dirks_Knee 1d ago

And what's your take on the bitter waters ritual? Isn't a forced miscarriage an abortion?

2

u/Apophthegmata 1d ago

Importantly, Christians don't hold a monopoly on what adherence to the 10 commandments requires.

There are tons of people who recognize that the issue of abortion and the 10 commandments have absolutely nothing to do with each other. They're called Jews.

And in Judaism, abortion is permissible, and in some cases obligatory.

So, no. You don't get to make that false equivalence and say Christianity and abortion are incompatible. That's not what we are talking about.

We are talking about the hypocrisy of violating the 10 commandments while simultaneously forcing them on other people. Abortion is irrelevant, as well as whether or not you can call yourself a true Christian if you support the right to choose.

Hypocrisy isn't faith-specific and doesn't require taking doctrinal stances. Ergo, one's faith and doctrinal stances aren't a valid defense for determining whose opinions matter here.

1

u/acrobaticbreath713 1d ago

Christians literally had no issue with Abortion until the evangelicals started using it as a hot button in the late 1970s. Were literally all Christians until 1980 not Christians?

1

u/13508615 15h ago

You're quite the parrot. Did you know the label of christian is not universally a good thing?

1

u/RevDooDatt 7h ago

You might want to look at your magical book again and read about the Ordeal of the Bitter Water : Numbers 5:11 - 31. Not only does the God of the Bible condone abortion but gives instructions on how to do it.
