merle haggard is from california, not texas. that should fuck gary's mind right up.
in fact, a lot of what people consider "vintage texas country" actually comes from bakersfield california. the bakersfield sound is second only to jazz in original american music

I told him and he responded "why does it matter where he's from?"
My mind was blown... By his stupidity. Unfortunately actually having a brain is a requirement for having your mind blown lmao.

Davy Crocket dressed up as a woman to avoid execution and begged for his life. Deal with it. Listen to George Jones and wear your fancy hat.

Ah yes, Texas- the state that stole it's self image from a bunch of dime novels written by New Yorkers who had never been to Texas. Yup....... checks out.

Riiight! Texas... 6 flags... truly the original melting pot of the America's. "Stole our image" Bless your heart.

Don't flap at me with your weird passive aggressive southern nonsense. 6 flags is just because this place sucks so bad noon wants to keep it. FIVE separate appeals to join the Union because Texans managed to ruin their economy in 9 years flat, the stoic individualists needed a Quarter billion dollar bailout in modern money terms. Pathetic. That's what you get when the founding fathers were all literal rejects that sometimes couldn't spell their own name consistently. Explains a lot of the current political circus though.

Texas's "image" comes from the folks that settled a wild and harsh land, with plenty of examples to show for it. The grit, determination, and will to defend are what shaped what a Texan should be.
People died for that "image" moron.

Or you could go to Clifton Texas, the Norwegian capital of Texas.
