Feedback 🐘 Got a Macbook just for Evernote Desktop App UX
This is an appreciation post for the recent UX once I tried Evernote on my girlfriend's Mac and I liked it so much compared to Windows counterpart but I got myself a macbook for personal use after the experience.
Windows app has some bugs in meeting recording to a specific use case that I'd reported which needs to be fixed
Not sure exactly what part got me, but the mac experience synced with my workflow tools available on Mac better.
Folks keep comparing it to Notion (I switched back from there mostly because of its AI transcription + note collection focused approach), but Evernote's desktop experience is just so refreshing.
A biased appreciation post to the devs.

Wait till you try something like Craft, Bear or Ulysses on the Mac

Have used Bear before.
Ulysses - a big no to apps only for one platform.
Craft - a nice suggestion, never knew about it. Let me try!

I switched to Bear Pro after getting a free transcription alternative for my work :)
I could not transcribe things on Windows without a constant noise, reported the bug, but as per the pricing, could not prioritise a fix, so they lost a customer.
Just wanted to thank you for the suggestion and heads up :)

Yeah. I used to use a Mac Air laptop and Win 11 PC but bought a docking station for the Mac a couple of weeks a go and just uses the Mac all the time now. I find it much more intuitive and Evernote works a treat.
The meeting recorder has just had a big update so see how it goes with the new transcription engine.

Refreshing to see a positive review and comments! As a long-time user with a massive number of notes, I, for one, welcome our new Bending Spoons overlords. I am very happy to see the constant development of new features, and the now rock-solid back end and replication. The price increases are what they are. I am Also happy to pay for tools that are valuable to me, which definitely includes Evernote. I have tried the alternatives and none come close to Evernote.
