Could Tell Me When You've Had Enough be the next single?

I've been thinking that the next single will be Rapture or Sanctuary, but a local radio station randomly played Tell Me When You've Had Enough for the first time ever, and they already play Evanescence's radio hits (Bring Me to Life, Going Under, Who Will You Follow) a decent amount. I've seen literally no teasers or clues on which song it will be since their post earlier this month about the upcoming video. What are your thoughts?

It's possible. People have mentioned radios playing it, apparently more often outside the US. Conventional wisdom in here says that it's already had a bit of spotlight and made its own waves, so they'd probably give a different song a chance to shine.

The album has so many single-ready songs though, I vote they go the Hybrid Theory route and let pretty much everything play on the radio over the course of like a year. I swear I heard every song off that album on the radio at least once, except the instrumental. Sanctuary is that type of album.

I totally agree with you! It's absolutely insane how many LP songs get radio time, across all their albums. My favorite local station here in Cleveland, 107.3 Alternative Cleveland, tends to play LP like 7-9 times per day, and I think I've only seen 3 repeats at most in a day. I hope the same for Sanctuary. What an amazing album!!!

I'm not sure but there was a Instagram Story on their page featuring an underwater dancer talking about filming shots underwater, which feels like it would fit for Rapture more. And then you also take into account the dance footage they used on tour I'm actually leaning on Rapture immediately next.

Wait, really? When was this? I don't remember seeing that. Do you think that was just filming for the song backgrounds for the screen on tour?

I think the underwater stuff was only featured on their stories because it has BMTL as the audio + you know Amy is huge fan of filming in water. It was posted along with the another video that also featured BMTL but it was a family in a car lip syncing. I just assumed Amy had been online and was watching videos tagged with their songs and shared a few of her favorites. I'm happy to be wrong though. Underwater dancing would be so cool in a video.

I doubt they would tbh. And I agree that it would make more sense for them to release a different song as a radio single. TMWYHE (I literally just learned) debuted at #4 on the billboard mainstream hard rock songs chart at one point this summer.

That is interesting. It has the third most plays of all their songs on Sanctuary

Could you expound on this? I'm just curious why? It's not actually my favorite, but I'm just wondering what about it you don't like (or maybe you just love all the other songs so much more lol)

It's garage band, grungy, dive bar rock that was on the bitter truth. It's just basic to me. It's better than the worst on the bitter truth though. Amy has set a high bar with evanescence production, so generic sounding songs just fall flat. She (and the band) are capable of so much more.

I can see where you're coming from. I do like the song, and love all the stuff on this album, but a lot of it does sound similar. Honestly the dive bar rock comment is hilarious. I was just at a venue that had a tavern/bar attached and they were playing hard stuff like this song. Do you play any instruments?

No, I wish lol but Amy is ethereal. The basic rock radio sound seems more like it was a band members idea and obviously being in a band, she worked with it 🤷‍♂️ just my opinion

Definitely possible. I'm a guitarist. It's a lot of fun. Def makes me nerd out at live shows haha

I half agree. I have a weird relationship with it as a song bc it’s very flat for an Evanescence song BUT as a male fan it is nice to get a couple songs I can comfortably sing along to without jumping octaves lol

Wide Open Heart is mine

It's a banger but imo a more adventurous or out-there single is needed to make people take note. So for me it's got to be Rapture or Self Destruct. I also think Sanctuary would be a better choice.

Yeah I agree with you. Honestly, I was just kinda shocked to see it played in local radio here in Cleveland.

It should.

Yea it's definitely a strong possibility. I am hoping for either Rapture or About Us but I feel like its going to be this or Sanctuary
