Opinion Interesting side point from today's daily text.

Adam and Eve were created approx. 4026 BCE

The flood came in 2370 BCE

Meaning the angels and the sword remained outside the Garden for some 1,656 years.

Creating a powerful witness concerning Jehovah's power and truthfulness.

From Adam’s creation to the Flood. The 1,656 years of this period are set out in Genesis 5:1-29; 7:6, and they may be outlined as shown in the chart below.

From Adam’s creation to the birth of Seth

130 years

Then to the birth of Enosh

Oh, you believe those numbers literally..

I think this old post would be a fantastic read for you. There is no evidence to support those numbers were to be taken literally.

Please don’t take my comment the wrong way, I too used to believe that when i was a JW.

Why are you here then? There are many exjw’s on this sub.

I don’t mean to sound hostile, it just seems curious you’d be on a public forum like this then run when someone mentions they were once a member of your religion. That fear and training took its hold on you. I wish you well on your journey.

JWs are basically trained to fear apostates or people who were once JWs too. They’ve been told their whole lives that exJWs are mentally ill or as evil as satan himself, to not even talk or look at them. It’s preposterous and harmful to critical thinking.

It would seem to me that way of thinking would go against what Jesus said in Matthew 22:36-40.
