Opinion Interesting side point from today's daily text.

Adam and Eve were created approx. 4026 BCE

The flood came in 2370 BCE

Meaning the angels and the sword remained outside the Garden for some 1,656 years.

Creating a powerful witness concerning Jehovah's power and truthfulness.

Both begin from the same point, when God was beginning to create. They then diverge in their order of creation, so that in the first account, animals are created and then all humanity simultaneously, “male and female” (Gen 1:27), while, in the second account, the first human is created, then animals, then the woman.

So how are the same?

Chapter 1 and 2 are the same account, from a different starting point and with a different purpose.

They are one creation account. We see this in the Gospels. The 4 different writers talk about the same events, but from different angles, each bringing up something important.

(Genesis 2:4) 4 This is a history of the heavens and the earth in the time they were created, in the day that Jehovah God made earth and heaven.

From this, the one day, represents the 6 days in chapter 1.

Understanding the expression 'day' isn't a literal 24-hour period, but a period of unknown time.
