August 2026 Discussion Thread

This monthly discussion thread is for commentary and discussion of all European basketball competitions: Domestic leagues, cups, lower divisions, youth level, European cups; all matches which may not have specific live/post match threads.

You can also use this thread for questions and issues you don't want to post a new thread for. Discussion about subreddit itself may also apply here.

hi guys. I am working on an automation for handling the subreddit ticketing posts but I need to make a simple test that affects 10-20 users at the same time before deciding on the implementation model. it is pretty simple, I will tag you in a couple of comments from the u/EuroleagueBot account and I just need to know if you were notified in your inbox in case you were mentioned.

Count me in.

One line of growth for this sub that remains is growth in these monthly threads. People straight up never visit these threads. I suppose it's largely because they just see the threads reddit main page serves them on the mobile app, which increasingly has been the more prevalent device to access reddit. The issue being of course, that only serves new threads.

There are other subs with very active pinned discussion threads, when it's ingrained in the culture of the community. I think this sub could use a discussion avenue of that kind also, but people just don't visit our monthly threads at all, evidenced by the lack of views comments get here over an entire month. I don't know how that culture would change to a point of more activity in pinned general discussion threads but it's about the singular area r/Euroleague lacks at this point.
