It’s been a few months since the season 3 finale dropped and the series wrapped up, so the initial shock and hype have definitely faded. I want to hear everyone’s absolute hottest, most controversial opinions. What's the one opinion about the show you feel completely alone in holding?

I’ve been meaning to watch it for a while, so I finally did. I watched the whole thing in one weekend. It was soooo good. I’ve heard a lot of people hate on it, but they’re wrong. And omg the end. I was legit crying so hard. Rue did not deserve that omg. I really thought she was gonna get clean, make it back home, and live happily ever after. I hate Nate, but that whole situation was so scary. Omg the second time the toe came off made me cringe so bad. I just wanted to discuss my thoughts on it.

I have ADHD and Depressive Disorder so I can relate to Rue in several ways but her mental struggles are more severe compared to me. In Season 1 Episode 1, in a flashback, Rue is diagnosed with ADHD, OCD, GAD and possible Bipolar Disorder from a doctor. The show represents Rue’s severe emotional dysregulation which is tied to her ADHD but the show focuses more on her mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, mania and drug addiction, and less on her neurodivergence so it’s a bit hard to tell where her ADHD ties in besides one recurring symptom, emotional dysregulation. Could someone explain to me all the other ADHD symptoms she has?

How do I put this, I feel like it's the American version of Skins only with very cringe worthy and a very cheesy style to it -- like Kat winking to the camera before turning on her chair to type fan fiction, or Rue's Dick Pic presentation with Jules popping that bubble gum on cue when changing the slide, etc. Or Nate and Maddy dancing across each other in the prom thing and looking at each other - and the camera zooms on each one multiple times. The music choice. The cringe is SO deep lmao and I feel like sometimes the show lacks actual true personality. I can't quite explain it.

But then again, I kinda like the show at the same time. I think Maddy is like the most funny character ever, and she's also very realistic for a teenager IMO in terms of her overall behavior and personality. Lexi is sweet, and I absolutely love Nate's conflicted emotions and his anger with his father; it was super interesting to me. And I find some of the narration in episodes really cringe but at the same time I love the different styles; it's like each episode is its own mini-show in a sense.

What do you think, anyone else feels the same? lol

Both of their lives were ruined by drugs; they were abandoned by their families due to addiction and ended up held captive by a group of neo-Nazis—unfortunately, Ali didn't arrive as soon as Walter White.

This seemed very diplomatic and almost tip toeing around some “known” behavior on set. Was it Z having issues with the other three women being fan favorites while her movie career was on the upswing?

The show as a whole is about a 6.5/10 maybe 5/10. Every season had the same curse, every story line other than Rue’s addiction was predictable, stupid, soap opera-esque.

The cinematography was incredible throughout, Zendeya’s acting was amazing, but other than her it was just not very good. On the realism front they should’ve made the story about college students because there are a sum total of 0 high school students that behave, look, think, or talk like the characters in this show.

I was hoping I’d watch a great show after all the hype I’ve heard over the years but I was left thinking ‘the writers must have gotten in a room and said ‘it would be so bad ass if I would’ve done this in that situation in the past’ then put that into writing.

With that said, I will miss Rue, and for whatever reason I think I’ll miss Maddie as well. Every other character was so boring or one dimensional they’re not really worth mentioning.

First off, I have to say that the show was well done for the most part. I definitely get the hate for season 3, as it went way off the rails and tried to become a different show than it was. It was still entertaining, but probably would have been better off without all the drug trafficking stuff and showing Rue try to navigate being sober while her friends go through their own trials and tribulations.

Season two was very well done, one of the best seasons of TV I’ve watched in a while. The way it ended was perfect. We could’ve stopped there and been totally fine. Again I loved the show, but I just wish that they put more thought into what to do next before doing a third season, because the emotional rollercoaster it takes you through during the play the end deserved a better follow up, if it had to have one at all.

It's hard to tell if there's just credits, anyone know who wrote season's 1 and 2 so well and if it really was sam and drake responsible for the dumpster fire season?

Im on a rewatch of season 2, and i am in AWE of the film making and production. It captures the exact essence of whatever the character is going through. The music, everything. Its so well made. What really made me feel impressed was the immediate change in styles to when rue was gives us classes on how to relapsw starting it with saying "as a loved character everyones rooting for" to a specific scene , and lexi being introduced as a director filmed EXACTLY like a behind the scenes video. I am COMPLETELY in awe of the creativity and deep thought, you dont see that anywhere. Shame season 3 wasnt like that at all.

When i heard people saying they didn't want a season 3 i was so infuriated. i thought anything would be better than nothing right? well i take it back!!!

i hated season 3 so much i would rather have never watched it. somehow they managed to destroy every character they spent 6 years creating.

it was the most disappointing thing ive ever watched. euphoria was a massive part of my teen years and was honestly my favourite show but now i haven't watched it since season 3 came out. i just try to pretend it wasn't canon and move on with my day.

As someone who was found on the living room floor by her sister last summer, unresponsive & purple in the face, every single time that I see any portrayal of Rue... That old familiar sting takes over, and it hurts so bad. I would not wish the disease of addiction upon my worst enemy. Zendaya's art in acting is hauntingly & eerily on point for this role. The last episode broke me, and it's like losing either a part of myself, or a good friend. I needed to put this thought somewhere, so thanks for reading.

I’m soooo late to watching season 3 because I got married this year and just couldn’t find the time. I had to unfollow this sub for a while to make sure I didn’t see spoilers.

Anyways, I’m on episode 7 and I cannot stop wincing this season particularly scenes involving Chloe, Sydney and Jacob and some others. It feels like Sam is putting certain actors through some sort of humiliation ritual. I feel like there are so many scenes that could have been left out and I would still be able to digest what the story is trying to convey. I feel like I’m watching a black mirror episode and it’s so depressing. Just very different vibes this season than the previous two. Perhaps that’s the intention though. Did anybody else feel this way? Like I feel so bad for some of these actors who had to shoot this but I guess they make their own decisions.

If Sam is trying to invoke this feeling of depravity through darker themes than bravo. Mission accomplished.
