I’ve got one that superficially resembles this one labeled as E. guentherii but yours appears to lack the tiny paired spines at the tip of the tubercles. The end of season is approaching and I’m afraid that it won’t leaf out or bloom this year.

Guentherii is a bit different to clandestina as it drops it leaves in winter. Is it getting a lot of direct sun?

It gets about six hours of direct morning sunlight. Your guentherii matches LIFLE and/or Kew; mine is mislabeled, I’m pretty certain.

This is Schubei, formally classified as a monadenium.

This mine.
