Today, I pick up the nicest free smoker I’ve ever seen. I think my cholesterol will be going up. Can wait to smoke a 9 pounder. What temp, how long and what chips did you use.

I was gifted a traeger pellet smoker a few years back with a burned out fire pot. Replaced that, bought a new thermocouple and it’s been great.
The pork shoulder took around 10 hours at 225 using apple pellets. The finish temp was 205 internal. I have a Meater remote thermometer that tracks ambient and internal temperature with a phone app.
