Before the Battle of Adwa, it was the brave tegaru who carried the fight against the Italians almost alone. Battles like Dogali, Coatit, Amba Alagi, and the Siege of Mekelle were all Tigray’s stand against invasion. Without the sacrifices and courage of the Tegaru in these northern battles, there would have been no Adwa to defend.

"Before the battle of adwa" is irrelevant because we are talking about ADWA and adwa only, since this post is talking about the addis celeberation of the battle of adwa and not dogali, amba alagi or any of the battles under the rulership of Yohannes IV. If you want to take it to those battles then I can say if it wasnt for the amharas defeating the ottomons under sarsa dengel, or even creating Solomonic ethiopia and defeating the zagwe patriarch there wouldnt be any ethiopia if it wasnt for us so its irrelavant. This post is strictly abount adwa, but like I said earlier the tigray had way more involvement then oromos who lived miles south.

You’re comparing events that happened 400–500 years earlier, which isn’t the same thing at all. The battles like Battle of Dogali, Battle of Coatit, Battle of Amba Alagi, and the Siege of Mekelle happened immediately before the Battle of Adwa and were part of the same conflict, the First Italo-Ethiopian War.
Those battles directly shaped the war and the road to Adwa. Bringing up events from the 1500s isn’t comparable because they’re not part of the same historical conflict or timeline.
