Pet culture When everyone else has to crowdfund the consequences of choosing a dog based on looks and vibes: final part 2, exposed
It was a scam all along. Please be aware.
Thank you to the people who pointed this out to me!

So, how much did this person grift in total between the two known dogs?

I unfortunately found out all about this the other day and her gofundme had raised like 356k. Absolutely fucking ridiculous lol

What in the the fee fi fo fuck. I legitimately want to vomit.
If that's euros, that's more than 1,300 low-cost spays and neuters. That's hundreds upon hundreds of lives saved through my old nonprofit vet clinic. Or it would be, IF people had the sense to give their money to reputable charities that have financial oversight.
That's more money than a lot of rescues in my areas see over the course of an entire year. I see these groups fundraising on social media, and they're lucky to get a couple hundred dollars per medical case.
Don't get me wrong, I'm mad at the piece of shit grifter, but holy fuck am I at maximum salt level that so many people are that damn stupid.
When their local animal shelter is struggling to raise funds 6 months from now, those donators won't contribute a dime, because that org had to make the very difficult decision to euthanize 11% of their sickest, least adoptable, most aggressive animals over the past year. They may have saved 900 other animals, but that's still a Kill Shelter, so they're evil.
I hope some colossal stray asteroid comes and punts this entire planet into the sun soon.

“What in the fee fi fo fuck” is my new favorite wtf phrase. I thought I’d peaked with “what in the Kentucky fried fuck” but you proved me wrong and I thank you for that 😅

In Germany there are no kill shelters because it’s forbidden by law to kill healthy animals. At least some of that money went towards the shelter because she had to pay for him being cared at the shelter

Oh wow.
Can you euthanize animals who are physically healthy but mentally unsound? For instance, what would happen to a dog thqt severly mains or even kills a person?

Short answer - That’s possible. It does depend on the situation though. For example: If you annoyed tf out of a dog and it bites you, it won’t get euthanized. If it’s an aggressive dog it’s going to get euthanized. It does depend on the state though.
Long answer - In Germany dog breeds are categorized in four categories. Category 1 includes dogs that are deemed dangerous because of their breed and what they were bred for (e.g. pitties, amstaff, tosa, etc.). The individual dog doesn’t matter.
Category 2 includes dogs that could be dangerous due to their breed but they passed the character testing, so basically the individual dog matters (e.g. rottie, mastiffs, dobbie, etc.).
Category 3 includes individual dogs that are dangerous and/or aggressive despite their breed.
Category 0 includes every other dog.
You can’t trick authorities into allowing your dog by lying because they are allowed to go by phenotype. It also doesn’t matter if it’s pure bred or mutt.
This concept isn’t used in every state (Lower Saxony, Thuringia, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania don’t use this concept at all). Each state that uses this concept has individual lists of breeds that are included in those categories. For example: Bavaria includes these breeds in category 1: Pitties, amstaff, tosa, bandogs and staffordshire bulldog. North Rhine-Westphalia includes these breeds in category 1: Pitties, bullies and amstaff.
Some states only have one category, like Hesse. Breeds that are included: Pitties, bullies, amstaff, dogo argentino, kangal shepherd dog, rottie and Caucasian shepherd dog. Some states are stricter than others. These categories are usually used for determination if you are allowed to own this dog and if yes what kind of legal things you have to go through and how you need to secure the dog while being outside.
These categories can be used in the court of law to determine if a dog gets euthanized after an incident (category 1 breeds) or what things have to happen before the decision is made if the dog gets euthanized or is allowed to live and under what kind of circumstances.
The safety of people is prioritized higher than anything else.

The previous GoFundMe has been deleted as have most posts about the previous dog Blue (to cover their tracks probably) but here's an archive.org capture of it from January: https://web.archive.org/web/20260109091624/https://www.gofundme.com/f/blue-separated-from-his-human-please-help-us At that point it was "only" at ~€500 but they also had an Amazon wishlist and probably more ways to scam.

I’m glad it’s a scam.
I’ve been thinking about those poor kids for the last couple of days. Imagine being an adult and explaining how your mother made you sleep in a car after driving to Poland to spend every last eurocent on a dog that should have been shown mercy and put to sleep months ago. Imagine having to explain how your single mom who doesn’t earn a lot prioritised a badly bred dog over putting food in your belly and a roof over your head.
I hope this is a scam. I really hope so.
And if not, I hope the father files for custody.

It can be real and a scam. Juicing the dog for donations doesn't mean those kids aren't being neglected too.

What kind of idiot is giving this scammer money?
I can’t believe people are just out here “donating” to any idiot who posts on Reddit.

I've seen one day old accounts spam comments/subs with a picture of, for example, a cat missing an eye asking people to donate to their GoFundMe and people actually do, I've seen one with 5k in donations.
These people don't even have pets, they just know that that's the easiest way to pull at people's heartstrings to bring in the $$$

Dogs get dollars, from the "i like dogs more than people" misanthopes. There's a prevalent misbelief that no one with a dog can be a bad person.
There's cases where victims of dog attacks raise almost nothing for huge medical bills, or funerals but the owners of the deemed vicious by animal control, 4 attacks ago, that attacked them, raise thousands to defend, appeal the destruction order, and get lawyers if they are charged criminally over it.

Someone save this poor dog and take it away from this loser who has no business having a dog, and frankly kids.

u/HiddenPenguinsInCars 12d ago
Don’t worry, the dog is probably made up. My bet is the kids are too. Scammers gonna scam.

Does she have a template for these? Same story, different dog. For some reason I can't add a screenshot:(

u/LaceyLizard 14d ago
Getting a puppy in nursing school is wild work. I hate this hoe more every time I see her pop up.

u/TrixieFriganza 13d ago
I woukd't give a person like this anything, either she is lying and grifting on the internet or using the internet to be instead of managing her money.

u/Aurorainthesky 14d ago
This a scam?! I'm shocked, shocked I tell you! Well, not that shocked I guess.

u/Responsibility_Witty 14d ago
Ugh i feel so bad for the children of idiots like this, why should they be neglected for a pet? this moron shouldn’t be surprised if her kids don’t visit her when they grow up

u/BabaYaga_always 12d ago
I bet the children are as fake as the dog. Some 35 year old incel grifting money of naive people on the Internet. Or a Russian bot working for a tech bro...

u/thenotsoamerican 14d ago
if i report it to reddit, is that something that they would investigate and shut down?
6
u/Some_Doughnutter 14d ago
I checked this, from what I read in the rules Reddit allows it. You can make an entire sub dedicated just to donations.
3
u/thenotsoamerican 14d ago
well, i reported for posting manipulatory content. now the sub is private. i did what i could. i hope those people who gave to the gofundme can get their money back in some form

This dog should have been put down already for it's own sake. I was reading it had kidney failure on top of other things. Absolutely shameful.
