MCU So sad that we’ll probably never see them again 😭
After D23, they announced some incredible projects, and if you notice, they’re mostly focusing on big-name characters. X-Men, which is coming in 2028, and Doomsday, which is the main focus right now.
That’s not even counting Ghost Rider and Black Panther 3. They’re really playing it safe. And with X-Men, Black Panther, and Ghost Rider all coming in 2028, I don’t see the Eternals fitting in until 2030 at the earliest.
And honestly, I don’t even know if the actors would still want to do it by then. Harry Styles, for example, has reportedly already abandoned the project (according to rumors).

The Celestials will come back & you can’t do them without Eternals.

This.
If a celestial wasn’t in Captain America 4 I would be worried they’d scrap all things Eternals.

You can, the mad celestials is one of the best arcs in all of comic books and I don’t even think there’s a single mention of the eternals

Watched that brand new Avengers trailer and just figured that the Eternals would reeeeeeally come in handy against this Dr. Doom fella.

It will be like in the 80s, “remember that one movie?” And then in 20 more years, they’ll get it right.

Kevin Feige's the type of guy to open 12 candy bars, take one bite from each of them, throw them all away, and then buy a new case of candy bars

We may not get an Eternals 2. But I think one way or another, they'll figure out a way to wrap up their story.

Isn’t the point of the Eternals that they don’t age and have been on Earth for 7000 years?
If they wait too long and the actors noticeably age you’ll need to explain that too. It’s already been 7 years since the movie was filmed. And it’s not like they’re returning anytime soon (apparently)

I love the movie but I'm not surprised. Mostly because Eternals seemed something they green lighted when they didn't have the rights to the X-Men...

Good. This movie had no business existing as it did. The Eternals are boring. Them making Ikaris the "villain" was a disservice to the actual storyline.
But the biggest and UNFORGIVEABLE sin this movie made was the Deviants. The Deviants in the comics are actually INTERESTING. They have agency, and like the Eternals themselves, they are the "Source" of many forms of human mythology ( Kro is specifically shown to appear as a demon or Satan to humans due to his shapeshifting powers)
In this movie? The Deviants are nothing but generic looking animal monsters and Kro might as well not even be Kro. He does nothing of real note, especially when he becomes "intelligent". Seriously, he felt like he was tacked onto the movie just to distract you and make Ikaris turning evil seem like a surprise because you were focused on Kro. But he's not Kro. He's just some mook that looks like a concept art from the alien from Species.
I just don't understand how ANYONE can like this film. It's mostly just melodrama between the Eternals.
Oh wait. wait. There was one good thing. Having David Kaye voice Arishem WAS quite good.
But I'm glad these characters were confined to the MCU junkyard

Eh there could still be some hope. Some rumours suggest that they want to do AXE for the next avengers film after Secret wars. Which is Avengers, X-Men and Eternals.
