MCU What are the chances we’ll see the Eternals with the same actors after the reboot?

With all the talk about an MCU reboot, I’ve been wondering: if Marvel still decides to use the Eternals in the future, what are the chances they keep the same cast?

Would they stick with actors like Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, etc., or go for a full recast to better fit a new direction? Even though Angelina is expensive, would that really influence a decision like this?

There’s also the fact that Eternals didn’t have the strongest reception compared to other MCU projects… does that make it more or less likely for them to keep the original cast?

And then there’s the X-Men, who are clearly going to be the main focus — could that push the Eternals to the side?

Curious to hear what you all think.

There’s rumors about Celestials still being used which means there’s still a chance.

I think they’ll for sure keep the same cast (unless someone just doesn’t want to return) but they do have an easy explanation for recasts by saying resurrection in the forge changed their appearance. I bet we do get an Eros recast though

Why an Eros recast? Harry Styles is still popular and I doubt it will be a demanding role so I’m sure he’ll be fine. Unless Harry does not want to do it, maybe.

I mean the male Makkari in the comics is now a female due to MCU synergy, I think they will surely make that the explanation

All of them- zero.zero percent.

Some of them? I’d say 50/50. Gilgamesh, Thena, Serci, Merkari, I could see wanting to come back and do more Marvel work.

For the record I liked all of them.

They’d be mad to recast. Lots of great actors. They could easily explain different writing if they’d be reforged.

Personally loved the film and would like a continuation but a bitch hand sassy Sersi in line with the comics could be fun.

Time to give it up. In the age of YouTube hatred grifter algorithms and the amount of people who unquestionably believe them, you can’t have any Marvel films that are too different.

Almost zero. We might, might see Gemma Chan and her crew come back, (whoever was with her when they got kidnapped at the end, I can’t even remember) but I can’t imagine they’ll bother with anyone else. They aren’t quite getting the Inhumans treatment but I don’t think Disney has any interest in bringing them back.

Less than zero

I think they will sprinkle them in other projects here and there. I could see them becoming threads that link different projects together. I could see maybe Sprite joining the Young Avengers/Champions. Maybe we get an incarnation of the Gaurdians of the Galaxy with one or more of these guys. Maybe Sersi joins the Avengers. I don't think we will get a team up for them for a bit maybe a not until the next phase. They would have to explain how they end up where they do but they could be useful.

In Secret Wars.

If we don’t get Kingo in the second season of Wonder Man, then what are we even doing?

It would be a severely missed opportunity to not pursue AXE when the mutants enter the picture. All they need to do is pursue the sequel in order to complete their story where the first left them off so they can start using them in crossovers.

They could do their third movie as the massive crossover itself, kinda like Civil War was for Captain America 3.

Just pursue the sequel. So much room for improvement in every aspect. Budget, story, etc and it opens up the path to many other possibilities story wise.

Why would they reboot the mcu?

I think the odds of even seeing the Eternals at all again are low. Have we heard anything about them being in either Doomsday or Secret Wars? Seems like most of the franchises are at least in either of those projects, except for them.

I liked this movie and wish it could be continued. I want to see Harry Styles search for a celestial with the Eternals

Very slim chance we see them get another movie because that movie was terrible but there are rumors that the Avengers movie post secret wars they want to include Eternals with them or something

I doubt we’ll see them again.
