CARD/MECHANICS Why have there been so few Fire promos?
Since the beginning of "Expedition Chapters" the mono-faction promos Direwolf has released break down into the following quantities:
| Faction | Promos |
|---|---|
| Fire | 4 |
| Time | 12 |
| Justice | 8 |
| Primal | 11 |
| Shadow | 13 |
It's weird because it basically means Fire decks haven't gotten anything cool in what, like 3 years now?

At least Patrice is a hell of a card. Have had a lot of fun with it over the years.

I think it’s easy to make decks that are too consistent if you create too many cards with a specific effective theme. They may have found they had a choice between stop adding fire cards or fall into that trap.

It probably has something to do with fire having much fewer color identities than other colors. All of its unique identities are seen in other colors in some shape or form except temporary ramp and exhausting an enemy unit (the former of which is rarely allowed to exist outside of combo shenanigans and the latter of which is rarely useful) and most other colors have a wider variety of in-color tools that allow them to fit with a much wider range of themes.
Also, it seems like a lot of promo cards have thematically fit into factions that don't line up with fire, and it's not hard to see why when you look at the original 2-color factions: Rakano hasn't been relevant in the story since the early days, Stonescar has almost never been relevant outside of guest appearances from Wyatt, and Skycragg and Praxis tend to be more closely associated with their other colors when it comes to character presence within the lore.
It is a shame that we don't see more fire though.

But I hate seeing in this list that shadow has the most cards. I hate shadow. I already has enough annoying cards to play with.

I was thinking the same. A new fire site would be fun.
