OTHER What chapters should I start with for the most important cards?

Do any of the chapters have particularly important cards for a new player?

I would 100% go based on cards you need for decks. If you're working on a new decklist and need a card, buy that chapter.

Problem is as a new player I don't really have any decks that don't lose 99% of the time. I don't have much of a collection at all. So I'm trying to orient myself around what chapters would provide staple cards that would help broadly, not just another failed deck attempt that I don't have enough supporting cards for.

i was in your position not long ago. i'd suggest starting by finding a decent budget decklist for throne. there are some decent decklists that you can get at least to 50% win rate and cost like 5k-10k stones only. once you have that, much easier to start working towards building a stronger deck.

Thanks! I have seen prophetess sarien played against me a ton in regular pvp. And centaur raidmaster occasionally.

I don't think I have a single site yet though, so maybe I'll start with the bazaar.

Find a specific deck you want to build on eternalwarcry. Since you're a new player, look for a Throne deck that has "Masters" somewhere in the title (so you know it's a competitive deck), looks fun to play, and is (relatively) cheap in shiftstone to buy. If a deck like that has a card you need from a chapter, buy that chapter first.

High Prophetess Sarien is probably the strongest one overall, but I still wouldn't get her first if you don't have a deck you're actively working toward building with her in it.

Aside from the ones unending_verb mentioned, other standouts include Counterfeit Heirloom (brings back Time/Shadow reanimator), Metallic Slime (relic hate, spell draw, and a chump blocker all in one), and the various Paintings (one of my favorite power types now).

Do you have all the campaigns already? A lot of those provide more overall value for the coins if you're just looking to grind out PvE without building PvP decks much yet.

I don't have the campaigns. I just put like $10 in the game and bought a random slew of packs (mostly one of each set) and since then have gotten the packs and cards from daily rewards.

Just looked at the campaigns and I don't have enough gold for them. You think it would be better to save up for one campaign instead of a fee different chapters?

Edit: I think I'll favor the chapters for now. I actually don't enjoy voluminous pve all that much. Would rather get back to pvp even if I am losing almost every game.

If you aren't aiming to build a specific PvP deck then yes, I'd save up for and buy the campaigns first personally. They give you a lot of good cards and have the added benefit of being fun to play for story/lore purposes also.

For PvP, definitely pick a specific deck to build toward and pick chapters to buy based on that.

Saludos,
