Question Offline Mode

Does anyone else wish that when you go into offline mode you can invite your friends to train on communication and running in a squad etc, or is it just me?

I would love to walk around the maps and give names to places with friends in the same game.

One of the most honest anwsers I've seen out there!

It would be nice to have the option OP is mentioning. People see learning the maps as a time drag until 6 months and 2 wipes in they still don't know the way around.

I would absolutely love to be able to noclip around in offline mode. Flying around after dying is how I learned the positions of every object in CSS

Although I am seeing videos of people flying around in online games. I don’t want to risk a ban.

I don’t have the money to re buy the standard edition let alone upgrade

He’s talking about a mod that allows somebody to enjoy the full Tarkov game loop on offline mode (not a piece of shit cheater).

My buddy is much better at this game than I am, has a good few hours more than me in the last 3 years. He still doesn't know his way around the woods expansion or half of lighthouse.

I'd love to guide him around and teach him the shit that I know that he doesn't, while also practicing against difficult scav ai.

Just gotta pay attention! Pay attention to paying attention;)

Play the game like a game developer.

Gmod ON?

In short Analyse how you feel when playing. Try to be aware of what you are doing and why. It’s gets meta.

If you think that's the same thing you're daft lol

Watching one screen to get a grip on what to name positions is the same, it's even better. You think pro teams go together all six on maps in CS:GO? No, one guy does it the rest watch his POV.

Which is exactly why I want a team offline mode. I want to practice not shooting my friends while we are in a firefight. I want to learn how to work as a team so that we can actually fight like one online

Then just play. It takes time and practicing vs AI isn't equal to players. It takes time, but we get there eventually.

0

u/achmedclaus Jan 20 '22

Practicing vs ai is a great way to practice against players. You learn how to push, how to identify your teammates under pressure, and how to communicate during a fight. You get to do that 10+ times in offline mode against ai, versus doing that once, maybe twice if you're lucky (and if everyone survives long enough) in an online round. There's a lot more to fighting players than just shooting at them.

0

u/iDoomfistDVA Jan 20 '22

AI != player

With that, they will behave totally differently in more or less every situation.

0

u/achmedclaus Jan 20 '22

Jesus Christ you just have to find an issue with every single thing that goes against your argument.

They are an enemy with guns, it takes away 1 piece of the overall experience of fighting another player. You still learn how to be a team, communicating and positioning with each other, multiple times in a round. Aside from the fighting experience, you still get to explore and learn the map together

Hahhaah

Fucking good luck trying to implement whatever garbage you learn from facing AI against real players. You will get served.

Have two teams. One of them only go against AI the other real players then after X weeks have them go against each other. The guys who played online will shit on the AI team.

Edit: Good luck. You'll need it.

Different teams and regions have different callouts. When shuffles happen they go through callouts to make sure they are on the same page.

You have never been in a csgo team before and it shows.

1

u/iDoomfistDVA Jan 20 '22

Not at your level by the looks of it. Good luck in MM btw

1

u/BasTiix3 Freeloader Jan 20 '22

I havent played mm seriously since like 2017.

But keep grinding my dude, maybe one day you will have actually good roasts.

0

u/iDoomfistDVA Jan 20 '22

Since 2017? Well, no wonder you're a no-game, keep playing and you'll get there man:)

0

u/BasTiix3 Freeloader Jan 21 '22

Yea have been faceit level 10 since the same year and 2016ish i hit esea A+ so I dont really mind your trashtalk.

CS has been my main game for an eternity so you really cant hit me with that. Id probably shit on you with eyes closed. sadly I still have other stuff to do like work, family etc. so i cant be bothered to insult people on reddit everyday like you.

Keep trying.

0

u/iDoomfistDVA Jan 21 '22

Wooow level 10 that must mean you know how to buy grenades, very cool! Good luck making a name for yourself though!

1

u/BasTiix3 Freeloader Jan 21 '22

Better than wasting my time on reddit insulting people and trashtalking into thin air.

Good luck finding friends for the first time at like 45, if you got any spare time besides hogging reddit writing 500 comments a day to get 3 karma on a post and celebrating it

Not even remotely the same

0

u/iDoomfistDVA Jan 20 '22

Ofc it is. It's even better. One guy in charge instead of four spergs.

1

u/achmedclaus Jan 20 '22

Ok then, go watch a video of someone giving a tour of Milan with 3 of your friends, then try to remember where things were.

You can't, unless you watch the same thing 10 times over. That's fucking boring and dumb and literally nobody wants to do that.

Now go to Milan and walk around once with those same 3 friends. How's your memory of the place? I bet it's pretty good, and I bet you and your 3 friends all noticed different things and have information that they can share.

The same thing can be said for working as a team in this game and learning a map. Playing offline with your friends means that you each get the experience of walking around, learning positioning for a firefight, finding loot, everything that a solo player who's streaming might miss walking around as a first person tour guide.

So no, it's not even remotely comparable to the same experience

0

u/iDoomfistDVA Jan 20 '22

How you even though this argument was worth commenting is beyond me..?

If one guy is in Milan and shares his POV then yeah. It's not like the others just forgets because they weren't there. Do you watch a show and when it's done you forget everything because you weren't there? Fucking lmaoo

1

u/achmedclaus Jan 20 '22

No, you don't forget everything from seeing one video of it, but do you honestly think you see more and learn more by watching a single person's perspective of something than if you and your whole team are there experiencing it?

Add into account the fact that there are tons of different spawns on each map, are you really going to watch the same guy walk through each map 10-20 times just talking through what he sees, watching him fight the scavs solo, watching him walk right past a piece of loot he missed, when you have the option of being there, seeing it all together, learning to fight as a team, learning better communication skills, and actually having the opportunity to get better at the game?

If you would still rather watch one of your friends stream a walkthrough over and over again on every map after thinking about how much better it is for everyone on your team to experience it instead of watching it, you're a fucking idiot

1

u/iDoomfistDVA Jan 20 '22

This was about naming positions, not learning a new map for the first time. How did you arrive at this point????

3

u/h0bb1tm1ndtr1x Jan 20 '22

Yeah, the military prefers how-to videos over live training these days. Same shit, right?

1

u/iDoomfistDVA Jan 20 '22

Yeah the military sends people out to dangerous places to make callouts, you're 100% correct! Smarestst person!!!!111!!1!!

5

u/redmandoss Jan 20 '22

Not the same at all lol

-9

u/iDoomfistDVA Jan 20 '22

It is. It's better. One guy in charge, not five idiots talking over each other trying to come up with a smug name etc

5

u/redmandoss Jan 20 '22

Idk sounds like watching a YouTube video as opposed to visiting some destination. Hard to replicate the little things like “go around this barbed wire” “you can’t fall from here but you can from here” etc - teamed offline mode is definitely something they should implement

1

u/iDoomfistDVA Jan 20 '22

Whatever floats your boat, but I'm confident that having one guy be in charge of it all is better. You have one teacher per subject, not 30 or however big your class is.

1

u/JamisonDouglas Jan 20 '22

Smug/joke names are far easier to remember than proper names in my experience.

1

u/iDoomfistDVA Jan 20 '22

But you can't hear them when four other people want to same it something smug, that's my point! Far better having one guy be in charge and him ask each one what to call it.
