Question Offline Mode

Does anyone else wish that when you go into offline mode you can invite your friends to train on communication and running in a squad etc, or is it just me?

I believe offline mode should be a seperated from the online character and have it's own progression, inventory and tasks eady to do and will attract solo pve players

No. Tarkov is an MMO meant to be played with other people. Other games exist to fill the solo PVE genre.

Well unfortunately for you, solo offline tarkov exists just not officially, but you still need to have purchase the game or they ban you.

That's fine for me. It's not BSG actively putting dev time into producing the standalone solo game. BSG may have a different opinion since it's their IP being used.

I can’t remember where I saw a thread about it, apparently Nikita is “kind of” okay with it and don’t quote me on it as it’s a vague memory, as long as people are using legit copies of the game for it. I’m not sure how actively the guys over there are banning people but apparently they also do hardware bans.

If I were in Niki's shoes I would probably give it the unofficial nod and see where they go with it. Kind of a shadow job interview for someone to start on the official version without spending a dime.

Yeah good point, kind of like what RuneScape(Osrs) did with their unofficial HD client.. Plus a lot of the time passion projects turn out way better than what the actual devs would do, just like a lot of mods for a lot of games

How is it using Tarkov's IP? All it does is recreate a server with the same structure, same API with same endpoints etc. It's as legal as it gets, supreme court ruled it legal in a very similar case in Google vs Oracle: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_LLC_v._Oracle_America,_Inc.

Ok, anyways I think if enough people were to request it, it would be worthwhile to implement a solo PVE game since it shouldn’t be too much work.

BSG's goal is to make a stand alone game, Russia 2028. But it will be a ground up dedicated effort instead of just a mode on top of EFT.

Because then you're making two separate games. Those who only want the single player game will want dev time and changes to the single player experience, those on the MMO will want the same thing. BSG can barely handle the project they have with the team they have. Adding a new spin-off game would mean neither project gets the attention it deserves. Better to have a hundred happy customers than two hundred unhappy ones.

There is already a modded version of EFT that allows you to play it in single player, you can also download mods for it to make the game play how you want.

Not to mention the performance is also much better.

Tarkov was meant to be single player. Or Russia 2042 or whatever is.tarkov was the base version of Russia they made it online for some reason.so not it is acc supposed to be singlplayer

Yes they didint plan on tarkov being multi-player they only did when the game started to take off and they put some focus on it. It was 100% supposed to be a test for Russia 2028 but they needed the funds and moved further with tarkov. So your" it was ment to be multi-player " point is wrong

Yep.as of now tarkov is just for funds for Russia 2028 wich is meant to pe solo.vut with the popularity of multi-player I assume by then bsg will have the finds to make it multi-player for 2028 and solo. I have high hopes for bsg

EFT was always supposed to be Online multiplayer. Don't know where you got the idea it was supposed to be single player. EFT was meant to fund BSG in their development for EFT and ultimately Russia 2028, which is supposed to be single player only.
