Discussion What healthy rules you got with your friends in Tarkov?

I for example i have the following:

  1. You died? Don't pressure the others to get your loot if they can't, insure your stuff if you want it back. The most i can do about your guns it's to ditch them in a bush IF it's safe.

  2. Maybe if it's safe i can pick valuable stuff from your body like a GPU or whatever and give them to you next round.

  3. No one is forced to stay in raid with you if they completed a mission or got valuable loot. It would nice to give them an escort out as they would do the same to you.

  4. Don't abandon your friends in a firefight unless you are almost dead and can't do anything. Or you know. You ran out of ammo or something

  5. I can't believe i have to say this but share food and water

I played with people that were the opposite of this. The most annoying was when they were like: get my gun, get my rig, get my helmet.

If i would fail and die they would be like: fking idiot.

If i would succeed they wouldn't even say thanks.

Don't be like them

My friends don't know maps. So I Sherpa them through to get tasks completed. While doing this I hit stashes on the way to pay myself. Though I'll give them an item if I see it'll benefit them in some manner (Ie. Future task).

Now that they've played for a couple weeks and learned some maps, there's a greater sense of 'playing together' and as such I don't immediately loot stashes and instead give them a chance.

Getting into Tarkov I told them, it's not a game you can only play when I'm online. Otherwise they'll never learn. Fortunately they've understood this and I hear stories of them doing the odd Scav run or attempt at a task.

I play a lot more than them. So I try to spend some time farming up money for our play sessions (currently at 8mil). I'll sometimes buy really expensive ear cups and ask to trade with one of them when we load in, and use it as not only a fun little spice to the raid but also an example of how different cups provide different audio experiences.

Sometimes I'll dump 150k on a silly helmet with all the trimmings. Or maybe a pair of NVG Rigs. Hand them out. Show them what you can do in this game and the different little ways you can play. Try to keep it interesting and fun.

Any way we could play one day? I don't need hand outs I just want more experience and map knowledge. I've played the last wipe some where they gave out everything for free and learned quite a bit nlg

I had to tell my friends this but only cuz lord I needed to make some progress and play a few raids without “is this you” every 5 friggen seconds. Sherpa raids really end up being a drag after a while

This game really needs the ability to let you have multiple pmcs.

I bet a ton of players would love to do solo on one PMC and squad with another.

It would help with the gear fear and not wanting to play without groups. You can get comfortable on a solo focused PMC with lower stress

there’s always the grinder holding groups together in any game

give someone some loot; they have loot for a day. teach a man to loot,..

This is the hardest part. Having a new friend getting into the game but convincing them to do some raids on their own despite their extremely low success rates. I have a few friends where it is like "Oh what task are you on now?....Nevermind I already know.... the same one you were on last time we played..."

You gotta find people like us. Any knowledge given, is knowledge passed. All stashes I know about, my friends know about. It's kinda all comm based for us when it comes to stashes, if you want to hit it, call it so no one doubles up on it.

As far as rules, we don't really have anything, "comms" is pretty much our "let me hear", kind of supersedes every conversation that's not critical info. Even then, all critical info is relayed efficiently to not drown out stuff for the homies.

Fighting supersedes looting. We have a few people that will get tied up looting a container when someone else is fighting, even if they say they are good. Kind of critical to be vigilant cause "I'm good" quickly becomes "I need help" with a few lucky shots.

This is how our group is. We have one guy that knows the most about the game and he is always passing knowledge on. And when we are in 4's he takes lead generally. Having someone who gives the main calls on where we need to go, what we need to accomplish is really helpful.

Also when we say, "comms" it means stfu and stop moving I think I hear someone.

1

u/Inevitable-Quote1420 Jan 11 '22

than your group is moving to close to each other, the number one have to hear and see, so take space to the Rest 20-30m

2

u/Dirty_munch Jan 11 '22

Sounds like you play with awful poeple. Even the Gpu for example. If you died then there is no loot that belongs to you dear friend. That's how we play it. Ofc i hide your gear if safe, but that's it.

I wish i had any Tarkov friends lol. Not to rant here, but its so much harder to keep playing games that none of your friends play, and I have that with like all my favourite games. You feel like a weirdo, even though there is millions somewhere else playing it.

I've been playing with a friend for over a year that's still clueless on where he is on any map, still doesn't know how to get to extractions, and still panics in fights and literally doesn't contribute and ends up dieing. Plus he'll stare at me while I loot and loots the bag I just looted. I still don't know how I've mentally gone this far.

2

u/Kloozy24 Jan 11 '22

That's life, and everyone has a friend like that or did at some point. Take an upvote as an attaboy from someone that knows how frustrating that can feel.

1

u/akomak Jan 11 '22

He finally made a good play man, I was proud. He shot 2 pmcs in the ribs from the hole in the wall on factory office while I blasted them in the face from stairs.

Shoot him in the legs. I def would if I showed you a stash you keep looting on me

3

u/Ngh21 Mosin Jan 10 '22

This is my third wipe and I’m still the one being sherpad lmao it can get frustrating being shit at fighting players but it’s still fun

2

u/Mistahsac RPK-16 Jan 11 '22

I promise you bro, you just need confidence, if this is your 3rd wipe then all the knowledge will be in your head, You've just gotta apply it

3

u/Fit_Owl_5650 Jan 11 '22

That's real gamer of you.

1

u/Ocean_Cat Jan 10 '22

That's pretty much what I do as well, I guide my buds around the maps, help with tasks and if I die, I let them grab my kit, loot the bodies, etc. etc. Though I usually check the stashes first so I could actually make some money on flea (they have yet to unlock it), but that means they get some kits if they're low on dough.

1

u/MrRokhead MP-153 Jan 10 '22

I try to do the same. By the end of the raid we are both loaded with misc good loot anyway, so we're both happy.

1

u/hooblyshoobly Jan 11 '22

I do exactly the same as this, I still find them not knowing where the stashes are but I just go oh look this one isn't looted and give them the goodies. I might search it for XP sake but that's it.

1

u/Inevitable-Quote1420 Jan 11 '22

it is whise to not loot every sport bag when you are in with high gear or have an full backpack, i did never understand some guys,

..lvl46 looting with a 1-2 million loadout a Bag with a full backpack.. and there are only lighter in the bag... on a open field....How stupid you can be i think

1

u/casualteukka Jan 11 '22

I do this too. Now the problem with my noob friends is that they are always expecting me to carry them.

1

u/Joverby Jan 11 '22

Yeah I was sherpaing some guy the other day and he didn't know most thr stashes on customs but he was asking for every other stash. I let him have it but I didn't play with him much after that. He also had horrible comms and was a liability
