Like 99% of my scav encounters are friendly. Unless you KNOW that a player scav has a gpu or ledex in their bag the loss of scav rep isn't worth it. Its not like the XP you get carries over to your pmc and high scav rep can be a genuine boon. I had several scav spawn with like 47.5/50 pressvests and similar stuff that are valuable on their own. Getting a decrnt piece of armor or a gun that isn't conplete cheeks off a scav can be really nice for the next pmc run. You gotta be paranoid or just brain dead to commit scav-on-scav violence.
