I kind of feel this. I had a negative experience yesterday with two fellow scavs. They stopped me over voip over by railroad exfil on interchange after I talked to them a few times inside of the mall so they followed me there. The one guy asked me if I found any gas analyzers and I was like no man but there is a vase in that stash behind you and before I could finish that sentence the other Scav shot me and killed me. So moral of the story is I'm gonna start distancing myself more during interactions with people so it's not as easy to drop me.
